The Zinus 2000H is fantastic. Very heavy duty, very sturdy, no wobble, no squeaking noises, fit and finish is great. The framing style and finish is very clean and attractive looking with clean simple lines. I like having the headboard with the bed frame as it looks nice and it is sturdy to hold the pillow up to lean back on when you want to sit more up right in the bed for reading or watching TV. Heavy thick strong metal and with a really nice black semi-matt finish that looks like it should last forever. The wood slats are 1/2 inch thick laminate plywood type so is strong and sturdy so I don’t think it will have any warping or sagging problems. The velco is heavy duty and holds the wood in place and spaced well. There are plastic feet under the legs so it should be good for hardwood or tiled floor. The frame sized fit my mattress size perfectly and the mattress stays in place on the wood slats without moving around. I like the height with the mattress is about the height of a chair seat height so when I sit on the edge of the bed my feet fall flat on the floor so you don’t have to jump up on it and can easily stand up from it. Also the height of the frame still has enough height under it so you can store some stuff under it especially like shoes, magazines, and small container. It goes together easily using all the same sized allen hex type screws plus it includes the allen hex wrench so you don’t need any of your own tools. It is packed well in a compact sized but is heavy about 60 lbs for the twin sized. I moved it to the upstairs bedroom by opening the box downstairs and then moving the plastic wrapped pieces at a time to the room and then put it together. Putting it together and setting up takes about 30 minutes. Just follow the directions so the bed ends up finished correctly with everything sized and fitted perfectly. My one complaint was if you order from Sleep Revolution the shipping is slow. I ordered Sunday and they prepared a shipping label on Monday but didn’t actually take it to FedEx until Friday to really begin the shipping so it arrived 2 days later then original range that Amazon provided. But it is free shipping on a very large and heavy item so as long as you are in no rush the free shipping is fine once you get it as this bed frame is really nice. I did look online to see what IKEA had to offer and I didn’t see anything impressive that looked as good and strong for around the same price. I really like IKEA stuff but as for beds this bed frame made of metal was better as it didn’t have any wooden dowels or nails or fancy hardware to assemble it with. The one large sized screw fit and tighten well and made for a nice solid connection with no give or flex. The black metal frame is modern and contemporary looking but not really cold looking. Comparing the descriptions of the Zinus 2000H which I brought and the 1500H which I don’t have it looked like the 1500H is taller by 4 inches so would have more room under it for more storage but the height will probably be taller than chair height depending on your mattress thickness. Also the metal framing bars is thinner sized so the overall weight is less by about 17 lbs for the twin sized frame. I've moved a few times in the last few years. Okay more than a few times. Have tried a variety of different platform beds. After I found this one and purchased once, I haven't bothered with anything else. Height is just right...not so high that I need a step stool to get into bed with my mattress (what's with people having beds that high? Is it like pickup trucks with the super big tires?). Not too low for the cats to hide under snugly (this is a consideration of supreme importance.) Four legs. Not an entire bar of metal along the floor on either side of the bed like you see on a lot of frames here on Amazon. Did anyone think any of those designs through? Did they try them out? Did they somehow manage not to stub their toes on those bars before getting into bed every single night? I tried them out. My toes remember. Easy to assemble. Sturdy and heavy duty. Unpretentious. Practical. Pre-drilled holes to accommodate an epic vintage headboard you find at Habitat for Humanity (another supremely important consideration). Everything you need, nothing you don't. I bought this bed frame for a new 14" memory foam mattress. I must say that I am very happy with the purchase and I am extremely impressed with the quality of the product. The delivery was a few days faster than original estimate - it's like receiving an unexpected gift! The box seemed to be opened previously as evidenced by the extra packing tape around the edges and upon opening the box, I found that the tie wraps that bind the slats together were cut at one end (there are two bundles of slats and both tie wraps were cut). This originally worried me a bit. However, upon inspecting the rest of the contents, I got convinced all was still well. There was nothing missing, every part was individually wrapped, the hardware was present and still in original packaging without damage and even the padding around the metal parts were in place. The instructions say it's a two person job but I was able to finish the whole task in less than 30 mins, including the unpacking, and the assembly. {Tip to one-person DIY'ers} The box is heavy (good because it's a sturdy unit) so don't try to lift or move on your own. I cut the packing tape with a box cutter along the long edge and both ends. This allowed me to remove each metal bar one by one and set up in my living room for easy assembly. The pieces went together very easily. I was impressed how everything fit well without any forcing, every one of the bolt holes lined up perfectly which allowed manual insertion and tightening of bolts. {Tip to one-person DIY'ers} The end pieces with the legs are free-standing after assembly, so once you stand them upright, attaching the side long bars by myself was very easy. There were some nice touches too: The bolts had all the washers and split washers already installed, they even provided a mini ratchet for the hex bolts. All the parts had numbers on them and each joint had the same number so matching parts to one another was super simple. The wood slats were in two bundles and attached to each other with velcro which made placing them evenly on the frame very easy - no guess work or measurement required. They even included a sticky tape on two of the slats (already installed) to prevent the mattress from slipping. Final nice touch was that there are bolt slots for the end pieces at one end. The holes lined up perfectly with the holes on my existing headboard. I found a couple of long bolts in my tool box. I am extremely happy with this purchase and very impressed with the quality of the product. I like it better than the slightly cheaper model from the same brand which has bars at the bottom too. This design with the legs makes it look more elegant and makes it easy to clean underneath with vacuum or sweeper. ... show more

What we loved is the strength, hight, high enough with just a thick mattress, high enough for under bed storage. Dislike, headboard isn't high enough or removable so you could use alternative comfortable decorative headboard. The price for the quality and easy assembly can't be beat. Love the included tools. Directions with actual written words which are sadly absent with most products these days, would be much appreciated. ... show more
