This bed frame is exactly what I needed. Quick delivery. The box it came in was about 8-10 feet long and was pretty darn heavy, so if you aren’t about making gains in the gym, you’ll probably want someone to help you get it inside your residence. However, once the box is open the pieces are easy to move around and are all light weight (individually). The frame came with all bolts and even a little ratchet to tighten all the bolts. All bolts are hex key only, so no Phillips head or flat head screwdrivers. Luckily, I had a matching hex key attachment for my drill so I didn’t need to use the ratchet, but it is included should someone wish to use it. Instructions were easy and the frame went together in no time. Very simple assembly. The frame itself is all metal and has a very nice look to it. It feels very sturdy and no squeaking when a laid in it and rolled around. I weigh 270 lbs so this shows how sturdy it is. I would assume if anyone gets any squeaking, it is because a screw/bolt didn’t get tightened enough. Very pleased with the bed frame. It sits up about a foot off the ground. Our cat loves it for hiding from our puppies. I love it because I finally got a nice bed for my spare room and no longer have to make my guests sleep on a mattress on the ground. ... show more

    • Sturdy Frame with Easy Setup and Good Mattress Support

I assembled the ZINUS Arnav Metal Platform Bed Frame in about 30 minutes, and the instructions were clear and straightforward. The white finish looks clean and modern, fitting well in my bedroom decor. The metal frame feels very sturdy and solid, with no noticeable creaking or wobbling even after several weeks of use. The wood slat support is well spaced and provides excellent mattress support, so there’s no need for a box spring — that saved me some extra cost and hassle. I also appreciate that the frame is raised enough to allow good under-bed storage, which is a nice bonus.     • The Bad (not that bad)

The Bad (not that bad): The hex key that came with it was cheap and deformed. I imagine it could have made it through assembling the thing but my quality one (metric 5) with a rounded head made life a lot easier so I would have used that anyway. Similarly, some of the bolts are really close to the frame so it would be annoying to use the supplied hex but that's kind of anything you buy these days. Lastly, it said you have 7 inches off the ground but it's more like 6.5. Only a problem to me because I have keyboard cases that are 6.75 inch tall so that little difference means I have to lift the bed and frame, but it's not heavy. Lastly, my box spring slides on it but I am not sure that is a fair complaint as it's not supposed to have one. The Good: Took me maybe 20 minutes to assemble and most of that time was unpacking. It is super straight forward. All the stickers with the marking are on the inside of the frame so you don't have to take them off, making future disassembly and res assembly easy. I am typically an instruction reader but after the first piece I didn't need it, the thing is so simple to put together. It is also very compact so this is a bed frame that would not be hard to move, probably would fit in my Accord Coupe without putting the back seats down. At first, I was weary about the slats, they are held down with Velcro. However, once I put them on, they do not seem like they are going to move. If they do, so many ways to make it work, and I probably don't even need them with my box spring, but I can't imagine them moving. Seems ultra sturdy, time will tell, but even a high end IKEA bed moves a bit. This is solid as can be. No adult activities yet, but I did bounce around, no squeaks. All the hardware was better quality than I thought, minus the hex key. The frame is very simple, so if you like modern, it's simple and understated. The materials lead me to believe this will outlive my bed, maybe myself, but I have no concerns about longevity. The metal (not sure what type as it is powder coated) seems very strong, and the coating is attractive. Box was compact, packaged well, so even though it looked like it had a rough shipping process, no scratches or anything. I will update this review if things change. I can tell that any issue, unless a weld fails, would be super easily solved with a simple DIY fix that anyone could do but I will update if I am wrong. ... show more

    • Solid Frame With Some Flaws

The frame started off easy to assemble, but two of the sides (opposite oddly) were not lined up perfectly and we needed to hammer the side down and have one of us hold and twist whole the other screw the screws. All in all for the price you get a decent frame that is solid and sturdy once you are able to put it together with help. It’s not cute and is utilitarian in looks, but it does the job and is at the height I wanted with the mattress/pad I have. I have assembled a ton of furniture and this is pretty common with this price point. It was packaged nicely too and they provided a ratchet which made things easier. I’d recommend with the disclaimer that you need help to assemble and don’t expect perfection at this price point or design. ... show more

This bed frame is exactly as advertised! It's a metal frame with strong, closely spaced wood slats that are thick and are held on the frame with velcro, so the slats are held firmly in place. Assembly was super easy, took about 10 minutes with two of us. It came with amazing tools that will come in handy for other projects. The frame is attractive, strong and durable. Really well made. And no box spring needed. What's not to love?! Very happy with this purchase. If you're on the fence about this one, just go for it! ... show more
