This is the definition of sleeping on a cloud. Its very soft, so you SINK into it. Which actually took some getting used to, as someone who has a soft pillowtop mattress and still put 2inch foam topper on previously, when my old topper got ruined by some stains and needed replacing, I decided to try this to really try the "maximum softness" I could obtain without buying a new mattress all together. And wow, this really made an impressive difference, I think you could put this on a cold hard floor and still it would be nice and comfortable. There was no real smell to it after unboxing which was a nice change from other foam bed products I had bought in the past. It came vacuum packed so was actually really easy to get into the bedroom and onto the bed and unpacked, and after about an hour the foam had returned to its natural fully expanded size. It does move around the bed a bit, but only needs a minor nudge back in place now and then, and this mainly caused from getting in and out of bed, so wont affect sleep. You will probably need to size up your sheets if you like tucking them in under the mattress however with how large this thing is, so for me using this on a queen, I think Im gonna just buy king sized bed linens in the future. Now for the comfort, like I said its super soft, like even for foam this is soft, it makes up for this in thickness which means you just sink into it, it was actually hard to get back out of bed the first few days, Literally! you sink so far it really takes some adjusting too. Also being that foam is obviously an insulator, this will get warm, which is great for cold winter nights, but not so great on hot summer ones. So make sure you have a good AC if you plan on using this in a perpetually hot climate. Overall I think this is a great addition to my bed and I would recommend it if you are like me and want the softest bed possible.

This is the third topper I've ordered from Zinus, but the first of the "Green Tea" variety. It seems they're no longer selling the topper I purchased previously (which was blue on top, and perfect). I'm not sure I like this one quite as much as the previous model - I think it's a little firmer right out of the box. But it is a quality product, IMO. My previous two toppers held up really well, and I only had to replace the one we sleep on every night after about five years. Truth be told, it didn't really "have" to be replaced. My partner started complaining of feeling like it needed to be rotated, so we bought a new one. We cut the old one up to stuff dog beds and assorted ottomans/cushions. The other is still going strong in the guest room (but was slept on by two people full-time until we upgraded to a king-size bed). Anyway - this one is more firm. But as a woman of size, I appreciate that it has a soft touch on top, and a firmer supportive base. Using this topper on my firm mattress makes it kind of a perfect cozy bed for me (who prefers things on the medium-firm side, but not hard on my joints). I don't feel like I'm sleeping in sand and can't roll over - it's not that soft and mushy. But I also don't feel like I'm sleeping on a solid flat surface. I think it might be slightly warmer than the previous model I owned, but I'm not totally sure (I switched from the old topper to this one as the seasons changed). The two layers are laminated well, and I haven't had any separation or shifting with any of the Zinus toppers I've owned. It comes vacuum packed, so it's easier to handle than you'd expect (especially in a king size), and in just a few ours, it was fully expanded. It definitely helps my aging and abused knees and shoulders more comfortable when I sleep. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a hight-quality, substantial, medium-firm topper they can order from Amazon. This is a supportive comfort, not a soft plush feel.

After removing my queen size 1.5" topper from the box and laying it out, I was quite perplexed at how misshapen it was and decided to let it lay out for a couple hours and see what happens. There were creases in it from the way it was folded and rolled to fit in the box that quickly resolved themselves. There was a smell with it but was not very strong and certainly not like mildew as some have reported. It smelled more like a cross between swimming pool liner and tires. Not the greatest smells but not alarming health wise either. The bunched up material around the edges given it an anything but square shape did not. I realized that by manipulating and pulling on the edges where they were curved or smashed in, I was able to straighten it out in about 5 min. This issue may have dissipated with enough time but I'm not patient and like to tinker so I figured out it was an easy quick fix and saved a lot of hassle. After manipulating it into the shape it was made to fit, I placed it on the bed and was extremely pleased with how it fit and how it feels. I used it to bring a little life back into a mattress that's about 10 years old. It's the old spring type mattress and you could feel the springs through the worn padding. This was perfect to lay on the top to make it feel almost like a brand new mattress. It was definitely worth every penny. I can't attest to the durability or longevity of it yet but if I'm disappointed by that aspect I will certainly revise this review. If I didn't have to work on making it spring back to shape, I would have definitely given this 5 stars which I don't do very often.

Very happy with it. However upon opening and removing you will find a very crunched, rolled up topper. Upon unrolling it I never thought it would fluff up to look like the picture. It took longer than my other foam toppers but it was worth the wait. I put it on my spare bedroom bed and continuously flipped it over every day 2x's a day for 3 days. On the 3rd day it was ready, fully fluffed to be put on my bed. It is comfortable & fits perfectly. Actually looks like it is a tad bit more than 2". Being I had no cover I used a double sheet to put on the bottom side that touched my mattress. My 1st topper, 4" KS, 20+ years ago (different brand) eventually started to become messy with foam dust on my mattress. I always flipped the original 20+ yr old one but hadn't done for a few years due to health issues. This new one is very nice and I would buy it again. This 2" one is lighter than my original 20 yr old 4" one. A lot easier to flip over.😊

We ordered the 4” Short Queen for our RV. It arrived quickly, it does have a SUPER FAINT smell, but I’ve had clothes that come with a more intense smell so I was pleasantly surprised. It doesn’t pop out of the box or pop up all crazy like some do, so it’s not an hectic installation process. Pro Tip: - Open the box in the room. - Open the memory foam on the bed as it comes in a clear wrapping. (Pic) - Let it rise & process on the bed it’s going on for 1-2 days, even though it does expand quickly. Pros = Light scent, very dense foam, thick and very comfortable… it’s placed over a “spring mattress” and I can’t feel the springs AT ALL, sturdy, slip resistant, breathable. This is a double foam layer topper. The bottom layer is a firm, dense, smooth foam. The top is about 1" of the squishy memory style foam that is more porous and sponge like than other memory foam style toppers I've owned. It doesn't tunnel like some and it doesn't make it feel like I'm sinking into the mattress. I'm guessing the rougher texture is to help keep it cooler. There was no chemical smell and the wait for it to fluff up fully was about 8 hours. My queen size was packaged by folding it in half. By the time it was well inflated, there were no signs of the crease. I'm not using it over an existing mattress. Instead, I use it in my RV where the bed is composed of a set of 6" springs that this topper then covers. I makes a nice hybrid style mattress. I've replaced the topper 3 times in 6 years and paid much more for previous toppers and yet this one is just as good as the pricier ones I've owned. If you need a little firmness in your bed, this might be a good option. I have the 4" queen size version and it is very comfortable. I did not purchase a cover because I use a mattress pad already so it isn't needed. I don't have issues with it slipping but it might be because the cover on my springs is not that slippery satin like material. Overall, this is a bargain. It is significantly cheaper than the others I've owned. I replace it every two years because in my RV, moisture and dust are frequent issues. If I were using it in my home, I think they might last longer. But, a hygienic bed is very important, so I repurpose the used topper for pet beds etc. For the next 2 years I have a comfy supportive bed. I'd buy it again without any reservations.
