Context: I am an avid meal prepper. I have containers for most everything, but I was using plain food storage for my cut vegetables and fruits. I've always been frustrated at the short shelf life of those items once they've been prepped and I was on the hunt for a way to extend their optimum appeal. I was very exicted to try these. These are 3 different sized nesting containers with interior strainers that elevate the contained food above any liquid that might be in there. That way your food stays hydrated but not wet. It's a great concept, and as it turns out, it works great. Every week I dice carrots, bell peppers, romaine, and english cukes plus whatever else interests me along with pulling a few pounds of grapes off the stems, washing blueberries, and storing vine ripened tomatoes. I wanted a better system for the carrots, peppers, cukes, blueberries and grapes, and I didn't want one of these types of containers with the post/handle in the middle of the basket taking up space. These containers are fabulous for food prepping. I dice everything into the basket, wash the food in the basket, nestle it into the container and presto, air tight and ready. I went an entire week with my red grapes in it without a single one going yukky that I found. The bell peppers stayed nice without getting that invisible mold taste that seems to crop up after 4 or 5 days. The carrots stayed wonderfully hydrated and moist without getting even a tiny bit slimy. Everything was like that... nice, hydrated, virtually as good on Friday as they were on Sunday when I prepped. Not only did I not accidentally bite into gross plant life, I didn't throw away a single piece of food. I loathe throwing away food, so this was a major point with me. These are easy to use - the baskets have little handles and do not snap or otherwise fix themselves in place in the container. The lids seal very well but are not hard to latch or unlatch. These will likely still be workable for people with hand strength issues. They nest (a big plus if you don't use them as much as I do). They go in the dishwasher (another big plus if you want to be EXTRA sure food residue doesn't travel from one week to the next). BPA free. And the different sizes are very helpful. Lots of grapes in the big one down to a single (big) chopped bell pepper in the baby one (with room to spare). The big one is actually pretty big. You can see a picture of that one next to my pop can for size context. I am definitely happy with these and will be buying more. Definitely recommend.

These containers are nicely made, sturdy, durable, and the lids securely lock creating an airtight seal. When I get home from the grocery store, I take 5 to 10 minutes to wash and trim/cut any fruits and vegetables I purchased. If I don't force myself to prepare the items immediately, I'll never end up doing it and things will go to waste. I put the cleaned and prepared items in the containers and any excess moisture falls from the items, goes through the white basket and collects at the bottom of the container. It is easy to put things like blueberries in the white baskets and put under running water to clean before placing the basket in the containers. I have noticed that my fruits and vegetables stay fresher for 3 to 5 days longer when I use these containers. It might stay fresher longer, but I consume the items by then. I really like these containers and I recommend them to anyone.

These little containers for fruits and veggies work great. I like the three different sizes and would even like one or two larger than these as well. The inner container allows for drainage and can be used to rinse as well. For cut produce, we generally leave the inner container out. The only thing that could make these better would be glass containers, but then the toddlers couldn't handle them much. These containers make it safer for the gbabies to use themselves.

Most other types come with just a raised tray on the bottom of the container. Now while that does help keep things like salad fresh and not soaking in it's own moisture, these are great because they go a step further! Inside each is an actual basket, so that the contents aren't even touching the sides of the container. I love this idea! And for easy storage they all fit inside one another!

The Hamilton food storage containers have worked far better than I expected. While I do minimal-moderate meal prepping throughout the week, I also needed something to keep the fruits and veggies better in the fridge for both snacks and family dinners. Typical Tupperware holds moisture and results in food spoiling far quicker than intended-often too quickly in my household. The design of this three piece set was intriguing. Three containers are sized to aid with storage in mind- a "nesting" design in which each container fits perfectly, lid and all, into the next largest size. The basket-like design of these containers keeps food elevated slightly above any moisture that might collect at the bottom. This design has significantly improved how well fruits and vegetables keep in the refrigerator. I have been super impressed! This has actually helped me improve my meal preparation as I can make sure there are veggies ready to go for family meals on busy weeknights. Overall, very impressed.

What I like: -Extended the fridge life of my strawberries and keept them looking fresh. Also worked pretty well with chopped kale, which doesn't like to stay un-slimy. -The latches are secure but not difficult to do or undo, which is nice. Some containers are a pain to open. These aren't. -Good variety of sizes. I fit 3 containers of whole strawberries in the large container. Minor downsides: -I wish the plastic was a little clearer. It's hard to see what's inside these containers unless you open them. -Lids need to be handwashed. If you put them in the dishwasher, it will ruin the silicone inserts. -No part of this container should go on the bottom rack of the dishwasher. They will melt.
