Short version: My wife and I have had this mattress for over a year now and can say with confidence that it was an excellent purchase- it is still firm and has no sags or dips. I highly recommend it. I have held off on writing a review for this mattress because I felt it was necessary to sleep on it for an extended period of time to give it the most fair and accurate review. My wife and I purchased this mattress over a year ago, in November 2017. After going to all the local stores, from big box to mom and pop, my wife and I found ourselves with a problem: we could tell which mattresses were soft and which were firm, but aside from that we didn't really feel much difference apart from the price tag- almost all of which exceeded a thousand dollars, with some approaching two grand. That's quite an outlay of cash. So, going off reviews on Amazon we took the leap on this Zinus Extra Firm iCoil 12 inch king mattress. We also purchased a steel foundation upon which to set the mattress in our bed frame. The box arrived a little beat up, but my wife and I muscled it into the house and carried it upstairs together. It's a two person job, but not impossible. We set the rolled up mattress on our guest bed and carefully cut away the plastic so the bed would unroll. (Pro tip: Don't stand between the mattress and the wall. You might get pinched) We followed the directions and let the mattress sit undisturbed for 2 or 3 days so it could fully expand. After which time, we moved it into our bedroom. It's now more than one year on and I feel qualified to report on the mattress. It is firm, but not rock hard. This is obviously subjective, so all I can say is that you know a firm mattress when you lay on one, and this is a firm mattress but is still comfortable. I'm a side and stomach sleeper, and my wife is a back sleeper. I'm 5'11", 230lbs, and we'll just say that my wife is plus sized and leave it at that. The mattress supports both of us fine, and a year later has no depressions, dips, sags or problem areas. The last time I did laundry I snapped some photos of the mattress which I have posted above. You'll notice the mattress is still even and flat, even after a year of nightly use. I purchased this mattress myself, with my own money, have no relationship with the manufacturer, and am receiving nothing in return for writing this review. I just know how difficult it is take the leap of purchasing something like this over the internet, so I thought I'd write a review to help people in a similar situation my wife and I found ourselves in last year. This mattress was an excellent purchase, I've recommended it to friends, and if you're in the market for a fairly priced firm mattress, I can recommend it to you as well. Cheers. ... show more

Man, what can I say except YAHOO!!!!!!!. This may sound like a made up story but, after just one week of usage. My lower back pain has all but been eliminated. First of all, let me start off by saying that I am a pretty big guy. While I am only 5' 10" tall, I push the scales at 285lbs. I am active in Judo, swimming and cycling so it is a healthy weight at 18% body fat. 18% is ideal for a 57 yr old man but carrying that much weight isn't. My body style is due to my German heritage which has us carrying more weight due to my structure. As my lifestyle became more sedentary, I began to have an increase in body aches and pains. Soon I was beginning to have chronic lower back pain and I had long suspected part of this was due to the type of mattress I was using. Finally, about 2 yrs ago, I broke down and the wife and I bought one of those $2400 beds with each side able to move independently. It was a firm memory foam mattress and the wife was in heaven. At first, I thought I felt better but I never had a cessation of the back pain. This went on for 2 yrs and finally the wife suggested I look for another mattress. My daughter who is a nutritionist, suggested going with an extra firm hybrid. So, after exhaustive search and seeing the high scores this bed received, I decided to give it a chance. As most of you may be skeptical that you could find a great bed at this price compared to what the box stores charged. I mean, the higher the price, the better the bed, right? WRONG! This Sinus bed delivers. I bought it in conjunction with the frame you see in the picture. It arrived in a rectangular box and I was thinking "Doesn't that hurt the springs being rolled up"? Apparently it doesn't. I gave it 2 FULL DAYS TO EXPAND per the instructions and spent the first night a little unsure. But I awoke the next morning realizing two things. I don't remember waking up and having to re-adjust my position, and I don't remember anything from the time I went to sleep, til the time I woke up. And that's amazing considering I use a CPAP. Now I will warn you that your body may feel a bit stiff for the first few days since the mattress is so firm. But once your body adjusts to that firmness, you are in heaven. So, if you're on the fence, I hope this review has pushed you over to the better sleep side. Thanks for reading ... show more

This is a joke of a mattress. Purchased it for a child's bed. I knew I had to let it air out and decompress for 48 hours or so, which I did, but it seemed like the coils in the corners never came up. I wrote to Amazon, but Amazon referred me over to the manufacturer. I reached out to the manufacturer and they worked with me and sent a replacement. The replacement had the same problems as the initial purchase, but was very saggy in the middle. Again, I reached out to the manufacturer asking a refund, but they won't allow it. They said they would send out another replacement (this is the 3rd mattress now...). Just received the replacement, and it is in the worst condition of all 3 mattress that I have received from this manufacturer. I try calling them, no one ever picks up. I send emails, and I receive the same canned emails from the previous conversations. Yes, I may be receiving replacements, but mattresses take up space in landfills, and I can't keep this process of disposing of mattresses every time they send me another replacement. There are very few charities that accept mattresses as donations FYI, even when they are brand new and not used. ... show more
