Getting old, it is time to declutter the house. It is time to get rid of the waterbeds we have had since the 70s. I do not want to inflict moving them to my successors. I bought tow bedframes from Amazon, a queen and a single and got the innerspring hybrid memory foam matteresses. They were OK, but I had to add a plush topper to try to manage the heat. I finally bought one of there, a single, to try. As an insomniac, I care about good night's sleep, and now finally I have had a week of them. The Quad Cool costed about 50% more than the first ones I bought, but consider this: My neighbors spent a THOUSAND for their mattress from a store and I genuinely doubt theirs could be better. It is interesting, the first night. It feels too firm at first, then it slowly, gently sinks you into it and the support is perfect. Five Stars. First of all it's supposed to be 12 inches. It's been on the bed for over a week and has only expanded to 10 inches. Some areas are only 9 inches. The middle has an indentation from how it was packed. It's making the middle sink in more. It's difficult to turn on this mattress. I decided on buying this Quadcool after watching the video because it's Zinus's new mattress. The mattress is not comfortable at all which is disappointing! It's very cool from drawing your body heat so if you don't like being cold this is not good for you. If you have back problems this is the worst. My back is killing me after sleeping on it and I can't even get up in the morning without excruciating back pain after sleeping on it. I don't know if it's because it's only 10 inches that's making it a terrible mattress or not. Maybe if it was the 12 inches that it should be it would be much better. In addition the cover is very loose because it's supposed to be 12" and isn't so the cover is too big for it being 10". The sides have zero support so when you sit on the edge it really sinks down a lot. I would not recommend this mattress at all. It's frustrating now because I'm sending it back. I had to argue with Amazon because they want me to vacuum seal it back into the little box it came in! Which is seriously not something I can do! Came in a small box all the air sucked out. Amazing !! easy to do yourself and you don't have to stay home for delivery. I was home and the nice driver brought inside. The mattress is a game changer. My sheets don't pop off anymore. We canceled our chiropractor. We both sleep great, pain free. Note it doesn't need box springs but we kept ours and we like a tall bed cause we are tall. Try it and do what's best for you. It is cooling. For winter I put mattress topper and flannel sheets on the bed. You do you and you'll love it too! I’m giving this 1 star because this mattress offers zero support. It is extremely soft and you sink right in. Since I started using it, my back pain has gotten noticeably worse instead of better. I definitely do not recommend this if you need any firmness to sleep well.

i sleep better because it cushions my shoulders, hips and knees. I have chronic pain from osteoarthritis arthritis and multiple back injuries and this mattress is better than my $4000 tempurpedic mattress. i did buy the 12 inch king and it took 48 hours to inflate. Easy to disassemble from the box. it does take 2 persons. Follow the directions in the box and you are good to go. i do recommend. ... show more

We purchased a twin version for one of our kids in the past so we knew it was comfortable BUT we just bought the Quadcool version and spent our first night on it last night.... This is the best mattress I've ever slept on! I'm sure there are other beds out there that cost a fortune that might be better but at this price, this mattress is unbeatable. The more expensive quadcool is wayyyy to soft. I hated it from day one. Ended up giving it to my sister. I preferred the firmness of the original green gel.
