To start of I’d recommend this mattress to family, friends and now even strangers on the internet, hi 👋. To start of, I was in a pinch and needed to upgrade my bed from a full to a queen while also being on a budget which isn’t easy. I don’t have a big vehicle either nor the time to go and check them out in person so I was taking a leap of faith since I had to buy it prior to trying it. Anyways, I can’t pass up a good deal, especially In this economy 😅 so i decided to just buy it. And for just about $200 I was able to get a whole new bed ! Yay. As usual it was a quick delivery and the box was very sturdy so it made moving it easy. After carefully opening it and giving it a couple hours to “rise and set” it was ready for a test. It’s soo comfy! The sides don’t dip down and it a great size ! After opening it and taking off the plastic I gave it a good sniff and I don’t think it smelled. Plus once you put fresh clean bedding on you don’t even notice the smell of heaven. Ooh in terms of firmness and support, I’d say it’s “firm” but, it’s like a plush firm that’s like a pillow. It holds you but also lets you sink in just a tad so you’re comfortable. So good back support. TLDR, Great price, very comfy, doesnt smell, easy set up, true to size, and it has a nice support.

Update 3.5 years later: Still love this mattress! Absolutely no issues and still in perfect condition. We have had a mattress protector on it the whole time as well. Still just as comfy as the first time. Has not started sagging or anything like our previous mattress. Original 2020 Review: I love this mattress. Like everyone else deciding to buy a mattress via the internet, I did a lot of research. I like a soft fluffy mattress, but my husband likes a firm mattress, so we decided to go with this hybrid zinus mattress and so far it has been a great decision. It's definitely firmer than our previous mattress, but after sleeping on it for a couple of weeks, I have come to realize that this mattress is exactly what we needed. I didn't realize I had back problems until I woke up the first morning after sleeping on this mattress and didn't feel stiff and achy. And it wasn't a fluke! Every morning I wake up feeling well rested and pain-free. It's comfortable to lay in any position, I flip from side to stomach, to back through the night and it's comfy any way. It is also comfortable to sit up to watch TV, unlike our old mattress that we would sink into and have lower back pain when sitting for too long. It feels like really good quality, too! I wasn't expecting it to look so nice and be made so well for the reasonable price. Some info for reference: - We got the king-sized Zinus hybrid mattress - Shipping said it would be 10-12 days but it arrived in just 3 days! - We didn't sleep on it the first night, but it was the full height after just a few hours - I am 220lbs and my husband is 150lbs and our 2 small dogs and 1 large dog sleep on the mattress and love it as well - Our mattress sits on our solid wood bed frame, no box springs, have had no issues It has only been a couple of weeks, so I will update this review if any issues arise, but as of right now- I recommend this mattress!

This mattress is fine for the price. I hovered between 3 and 4 stars because it’s probably 3 stars in the grand scheme but considering the price it is 4. As mattresses go, this one is inexpensive. We are using it for our guest room so it will not have constant use and feels comfortable. I don’t care for mattresses that are all memory foam. This one is comfortable with a top foam layer that is a bit plush but firmness and spring from the coils on bottom. The mattress does not have great padding around the outside edges because you can literally feel each spring when you push in on the sides. But the top feels supportive and pretty comfortable. We purchased the 12” and the paperwork says to allow 72 hours for it to completely “inflate”, since it arrives totally compressed and vacuum sealed, rolled into a tight tube. After 48 hours, it’s 11-1/2” high and I doubt it will rise anymore. Unlike other reviews, I don’t smell any off gassing or odors. I hear a little bit of “crinkling” when laying on it, but it’s pretty faint. We’ll have to see if this is a breaking in thing. The top layer of the mattress has a weird ripple which has not smoothed out after 2 days so I’m keeping an eye on that. A bit over a year ago, we bought 2 twin sized 10” hybrid mattresses to use for our grandkids when they visit. They are also pretty comfortable and when we have other guests, we have pushed the twins together and make a King - guests who have used it that way also reported that it was really comfortable, which is why we purchased this new Queen. All in all, I have no idea whether these mattresses would be durable with daily use but for a guest room I think they are fine.

This mattress is surprisingly well-made. I had forgotten what it was like to get a good night's sleep until I bought the Zinus 10" Gel-Infused Hybrid Mattress. I've needed a new bed for a while now, but have been putting off the purchase because I didn't want to fork out the kind of dough I thought it would take to find a suitable replacement. Mattresses are expensive anyway, but I have "special needs" that make me have to look at the better than average choices. (I am overweight, and have an injury that is aggravated by pressure to my hip or thigh.) After yet another restless night, I decided it was finally time to go mattress shopping. Initial searches confirmed my fears about prices. Until, at some point during my Google research, an ad popped up for one of those bed-in-box brands and I went down a whole other rabbit hole. As a last ditch effort, I decided to research the cheap brands and was discouraged when they all seemed to be just memory foam. My sons have memory foam mattresses that they like, but I've never cared for their "dead" feel. Call me old school, but I like a little bounce in my mattress. What tipped the scales for me was when I found the hybrids. Still very reasonably priced, they offer the best of both worlds; springs AND memory foam. I was skeptical, but the reviews were encouraging, and I figured at this price point, I could always give the bed to a family member if it didn't work out. When the bed arrived, my 22 year old son carried the box in easily by himself, but if you aren't a young, fit fella you might want to get a hand moving it - it does have a Team Lift sticker on it. Please be careful opening this! It arrived vacuumed seal, rolled up in a heavy plastic bag - think giant popping biscuit can. We anticipated what would happen, so I cut the bag while he held it down, but it still got away from us a little at the end. It recovered quickly and was nearly completely fluffed within the first couple of minutes. My first impressions: 1. 10" inches is thicker than I imagined it would be. I had considered the 12" or 14", but I am glad I didn't - this is perfect. 2. The cover is very nice. It's soft and attractive. 3. The odor. While not overpowering, it was strong enough that I worried about sleeping on it. My concern was unnecessary though because by the time I was ready for bed five hours later, the scent was undetectable. After sleeping on it the first night: There is no sag like there is in many traditional spring mattresses. The support is firm but comfortable, with no pressure points. The sides are strong. I never got "stuck" like you do when memory foam takes a while to bounce back. I stayed as cool while sleeping as I have on any other mattress.I woke fewer times at night, and had fewer aches upon waking. I'm looking forward to going to bed tonight! To summarize: Even if this sold at a higher price point, I would still be satisfied. It's not a case that it's good for a cheap mattress, it's a good mattress period. If you are on the fence like I was, I would tell you to go for it!

Another update 2/13/22 Adding to previous information on this mattress; it is still great! The dimensions are still original. The depth (12") has not changed, the edges still firm. Lily still commands most of the middle and flops her, now, 130lbs wherever she desires. It is her bed that she shares with us. One thing we have both noticed about our backs...my wife and I often sleep in our guest house without Lily. (Imagine that!) The mattress there is a Queen and a memory foam type, but not this brand. After a few nights there we both have noticed back pains. While not terrible, they are noticeable especially since we have the King. Neither she or I have any back pain after sleeping on the Zinus. I know it is not scientific, but at my age, 72, back pains are very uncomfortable. SO...this is the best mattress I have ever slept on. Lily agrees! Updated review 4/30/21 We have had this since 2/19 and it is still as described. We both have experienced better back support than anything else we have tried. The only problem we had was our puppy Great Dane (6 mo old at the time) chewed a hole where my pillow goes. I stuffed it back with the foam and duct taped it. A great repair if I say so myself. Lily is the reason we went to king size and she loves it too. She is now 115lbs and has established her ritual. If you are a big dog lover and don't mind waking up with a big snout sharing your pillow, this is your mattress. We love it still. We do have to exclude her at times...well some of the time. I'll update this in 6 months or so, but for now, one month into this mattress, I want to respond to some of the reviews I read BEFORE my purchase. The two most worrisome comments were that it might have a long lasting odor problem and the second was about it holding its shape on the edges. It came as scheduled in a cardboard box that was a bit crumpled, sort of...but what do expect from a 70+ pound package handled by one person trying to get it on my porch? It was sealed very well in what appeared to be two layers of tightly wrapped clear plastic. I struggled to get it i the house myself, and when I carefully cut the plastic to release the mattress, I was prepared to smell something offensive. Not at all. In fact, I honestly did not notice any odor other than freshness of the materials. It expanded rapidly and achieved its overall 12 " size in less than a half hour. I was still building the bed frame structure when it arrived and didn't have it ready for several days after opening. I put the mattress in an adjoining room to "air out" thinking we might have a problem. No negative smell has come at all with this mattress. Once I got the frame ready and situated the mattress, the shape and size was fully 12" and the edges firm. So, now to the good part. We got this mattress going from a queen to king, because we now have a 6 month old Great Dane. She basically takes up half the mattress and loves to stretch out. My wife and I thought the king would give us back our sleeping together, but, as with the queen, Lily likes to be between us. The mattress is very comfortable and has, so far, helped my wife's back problems. So...no smells, firm edges, great comfort. You should go ahead and read the other reviews, as I did before purchasing. Maybe some people did have problems, but we are very happy with this mattress. So is Lily.

Update: Both me and my fiancé are having to buy some kind of mattress topper. It’s just TOO FIRM!! I thought we’d either get use to it cause it was so new or it would have broken in some by now. As bad and dipped down on the sides as our old mattress was, God I miss it!! Having to fork out more money now really sucks. Now the hunt and ago y of finding a good soft mattress topper thing begins. 😩 Ok, we have the 10” and it is definitely a firm mattress! Not hard, just gives a lot of support. I have to get use to it since our old bed was so worn out that the sides where we get up and down we’re sunk in and almost flat along with the box spring lol. It was bad, but it was actually comfortable lol. Just couldn’t take the springs on the side poking us and the box spring boards poking out, and it being so low since there was no support! Anyway, it’s so nice to feel so high up! We have a platform bed frame (I believe 14” high) that doesn’t require a box spring, which decreased the cost and looks great (albeit is a toe and shin nightmare!). The mattress itself stays cool which is great because I am so hot natured and our bodies put off so much heat with two adults and one baby in the bed. And IT’S SO FRIGGIN’ HUGE!! Omg!! We upgraded from a Queen and I can’t believe how much more room we have!! It’s truly incredible what an extra 20” will give you!!!!! We just love it. The seams and handles are so nice, and even though we let it plump up for 24hrs and off-gas, we didn’t smell any chemical smell at all. If you do after a few days I’d just buy a bed-bug or allergen cover that completely encases the mattress and zips up. They seal so great so nothing comes in or out! Lol. Overall, I have to get use to the fitness (makes my ribs a lil sore since I’m a side sleeper) but it’ll be fine one I break it in. So happy with our purchase and I hope it stays that way!!!

Update after 12/25 - Amazon customer support was excellent, they quickly scheduled another pick up with a new carrier and the carrier folks showed up in 2 days and picked up. Now I have to wait for 14 days to get my refund. I usually do not write reviews but I am highly disappointed with the Product and the pick up service. I bought a Zinus Hybrid mattress 4 years ago and my god it was so amazing with the support, quality, longevity. The performance was 5 star compared to a $4000 Tempurepedic which made my lower back ache day in and day out. So I decided to go for Zinus for all my bedrooms and recommended it to all friends and family. Fast forward to 2024 when I upgraded my bedframe to King size and I needed a new mattress. Without a blink of an eye I headed to Zinus store on Amazon to learn that they stopped producing the Hybrid mattress I bought in 2020. So I picked the one with highest ratings and all Jazz description like 'Gel memory foam' and 'Green tea cooling' etc. The mattress arrived with 2-3 days but it had so many issues like - 1. It was stinky as hell 2. So soft and bouncy as if I am directly sitting on the springs 3. Never fluffed to full 12inches 4. Broke my lower back :( I raised a return request with Amazon they scheduled a 3rd party pick up who showed up on a random timeslot which was not the confirmed time on the email. Refused to pick it up from the bedroom. I alone could not pick up a 100 lb mattress from the bedroom to main door plus I could not prepare for the pickup beforehand because they showed up before the scheduled time and never mentioned to keep the mattress at the main door. Now, They've rescheduled a pick up for next week and carrier never showed up. Amazon customer care has now rescheduled a pick up with another carrier hope they help with a pick up and refund sooner Question to Zinus - Why did you stop producing the good, medium firm supportive hybrid mattress with 0 bounce and great support :'(

The mattress is pretty comfortable overall, but it’s noticeably softer than I was expecting. The biggest surprise is how soft the edges are—when sitting on the side of the bed, it feels like you sink almost all the way down instead of getting much support. It’s a bit confusing because the center feels comfortable, but the edge support is much weaker than I anticipated.
