My 6 month Lab Mix will destroy every toy within 3 hours of opening it and this toy has lasted OVER 2 weeks! (Even Chewy “indestructible” line of toys lasted 1.5hrs) We even dropped it against the pavements while playing keep away and it didn’t dent. The squeaker on the inside was initially hard for him to use because he wasn’t biting down hard enough but now he can access it with more force and it’s still in great condition. No cracks and he plays with it everyday. The toy is kind of heavy, so when it drops on your floor be aware. I gave it a 4 for longevity bc it’s only been 2 and a half weeks. I bought this for my 8 month old chewer, she is a Manchester mix, about 17lbs., plus, and she can destroy anything that is put in front of her. I needed a toy that would stand the test of time and, of course, her. Just 1 month ago I bought her FIVE soft, furry, squeaky toys that she has already destroyed, and that is why I got her this, to hopefully get her something that she likes, and, that is used. She does play with it, but even for her size, which is mid-sized, the smallest they offer is just a little bit too large. It's pretty tough too, but almost too tough. She can get her teeth around it, but I think that she only plays with it 'just so long' due to it really giving her a workout. Which is good, but, then she gets tired and wants to chew any and everything. The squeaker is a really good sound, it has TWO squeakers in it, one on each end. They work really well, when I step on it, but it takes a LOT of doing to get it to squeak. She can do it 'sometimes', and when it does squeak, whether it's me doing it, or her, she loves it, she goes even crazier. The rubberized material that is used is VERY firm, and probably for my dog, it may be just too firm, so much so that she won't use it as her main one, her, "main squeeze"... :) (I really have a hard time squeaking it using just my hands) I did see the picture in the Reviews here that showed a Pit that had chewed the ends off, I just thought that my dog would do that too, but so far, she hasn't hardly made a dent in it. So, really, I would rate this as a very good buy, and it's made well, it DOES NOT SMELL (like chemicals) , and the squeaker in it is really a good one. Just for my dog alone I rated it 4 stars because of my dog, your dog may love this, I can't say anything bad about it as far as what it is. My ONLY thing is, I wish they has one that was 4-1/2" rather then the 6" inch one, and that it was slightly softer, but only "slightly". That in itself kills some of its selling points though, the toughness of it is the main thing that isn't perfect, for my dog... It's not expensive, so if you are on the fence, try it, more than likely your dog will like it. ... show more

My dog enjoys this. It take effort to make it squeek. I am looking for a good quality kibble to fill snack part as just a head shake or roll dumps contents. I have tried painting inside with small amount of peanut peanut butter or wetting the inside to slow it dumping but not good solution. I clean inside with bottle brush. ... show more

Update: Toy was Diesel proof for 3 days. I only deducted one star because overall, it outlasted more than the other so called indestructible toys. Finally a toy that's Diesel proof. This one was able to tire him out. Going to buy more.

My dog is a large, super aggressive chewer. He has chewed and chewed on this product and not damaged it at all! He enjoys chewing on it, and you can put peanut butter on the sides for your dog to lick, too. Water does get in it when you wash it, but it comes out eventually. I recommend!

    • The ends of the toy have a seam which my puppy got his teeth into and started chewing it off.

My 4-6 month old puppy was able to chew pieces off the end where the seam is. Maybe you can do away with the seam and make a smooth end to the toy. I bought two of these hoping they would last. Of course, nothing is indestructible with a puppy.
