I'm 5'11, 205 lbs and I took a chance on this despite being too heavy for the recommendations. Although it may not be able to keep me above water on it's own(untested), it's very roomy and does not inhibit my kayaking movements at all. I'll update once I find out if it can keep me afloat on it's own. ... show more

I don’t know what took me so long to buy a paddling vest. This kind of PFD is so, so much better than life jackets that are bulky and hard to paddle in. I’m a bigger girl, and I had no trouble with this one fitting snuggly, but not too tight.

Ended up returning this item. The buckle at the bottom made it hard to zip up when snuggly fitted. Also the random text that was misspelled reduced our trust in the quality of this item. Wanted to like this vest but it wasn't the right option.
