I got the Zebco 808 for my brother-in-law and he was so surprised and extremely happy to have it after trying on his own to get one for 4 months. He is an avid fisherman with limited range of casting and the Zebco 808 spin- cast makes for a smoother cast and reel.

    • Line snags when cast
Reel seems heavy duty and built well. Loved how well it was casting and the bite alert. Unfortunately after casting for about an hour, the line began snagging on the exit hole of the reel. I opened the cover and it feels smooth, but the line still snags. Tried a new line thinking maybe the prespooled line may have been the issue, but the problem persisted. Bought this reel because of the price and reviews, but it cuts short when I cast because of the snagging. ... show more

I bought this a a gift for my fishing buddies. They love them and were easy to attached on the rods.They are light weight that comes with the unique bait alert. They are well made and will last a long time. Great product to buy.
