I got this for my 10lb cat. I haven’t taken her on an airplane so I can’t speak to that, but I got it for vet visits and for occasional 2.5 hour drives to visit my mom’s house. My cat’s old crate was a huge plastic one I used because - although she hates being put in any crate/etc - she seemed to especially hate the small crates with little room to move around. That would be fine in theory, except that the big crate is half as big as me and I struggle to carry it because of the sheer bulk. I thought that the bag with the multiple openings might be a nice compromise. Personally, I really like this bag. It’s great quality for the price and seems quite sturdy. I love that the zippers lock easily and there are multiple entries (top and sides). It’s much easier to get Kitty in from above. It seems very breathable. It also has a little spot to slide in an ID card. I cut a piece of cardstock to size and used it to write my name and phone number, as well as some info about Kitty, such as the fact that she can’t see too well anymore. Best of all though, it’s easy for me to carry! It has a nice sturdy shoulder strap as well as shorter carrying handles. It feels comfy to carry and not bulky or heavy. As for Kitty, she still doesn’t love being zipped into a bag and taken away against her will lol. However, it does seem to be a bit of an improvement - I’ve left the bag out on the floor with the side door open when we’re not using it, and I have caught her curled up inside a few times. Once was even within hours of returning home from an almost 3 hour drive! I think she likes the soft interior, and it seems to be a nice size for her. My only concern is with how the mesh will hold up over time. My cat is what I call a “picker” - when I first put her into any transport apparatus, she will have a small “fit” for the first few minutes. This entails crying loudly, and she used to rattle the latch on the crate. Well, now she’s taken to picking at the mesh of this bag with her claws during her fits. It seems to be holding up so far, and I try to discourage it, but I do worry if she wears it down too much. For now I’ll keep an eye out for wear with each use and see how it holds up in the long term. If anything happens, I’ll update this review. Another note, one of the times I brought her in this to my mom’s, during my visit we had to take her ~15lb male cat to the vet. This bag was handy so we just used it to take him. Although it seemed a little bit tight and maybe pushing the weight limit a bit, it didn’t seem to compromise the bag’s sturdiness or anything. It worked fine for a quick to-and-from the vet. While I don’t know if it’s an ideal choice for a cat (or dog) that size, I do think it speaks to the overall quality of the bag. Overall this is a great bag for the price and holds my 10lb cat nicely. Make sure you measure first and you should be good to go!

I love this carrier! It's lightweight, has a pocket for vet instructions, two different-length, sturdy carrying handles, and it even folds down for storing! I also like the machine washable faux-sheepskin removable pad cover. Great product at a very reasonable price. Lightning-fast shipping, too!

My cat had an old plastic carrier which he has outgrown. Bought this one because of the soft sides, padded base, top opening as well as side opening, shoulder strap as well as handles. Big upgrade for my big guy.

I've been looking for a carrier that's both comfortable and large enough to accommodate a 14+ pound cat and make vet visits (and other traveling) more comfortable. And this carrier is great! It's actually larger than I thought it would be, but no complaints in that department. p.s. The cats like to sleep in it when not in use, so they must like it.

I have not used this carrier yet since I have had no need to. I ordered it for future use. Given that, I cannot truly rate the product. I gave it five stars based on touch and eyesight only. It appears to be comfortable and sturdy and attractive. What I expected to have with the item was a set of instructions on how to clean it, etc. No such instructions came with it. The vendor did send an Amazon message thanking me for the order and asking for confirmation of shipping address (after I had actually received it). I responded with a comment on the need for written info about the product. Overall, I think both the product and the vendor are trustworthy. After first use I plan to add to this review.
