  • Easy enough to put together
Size: 1 Bag
After reading all the complaints about the assembly of these insulators I was ready for problem..I am a 71 year old woman with very arthritic hands..it required patience and steady pressure. Of the 20 I put together only 3 needed to be tapped a few times with a punch to get the screw started through the hole. It was only one scraped knuckle and 15 minutes work to assemble them.. I have no complaints they are very sturdy and I can’t wait to get them mounted on my back fence to stop my neighbors dogs from charging my fence and starting fights with my dogs. This is a good product and the complaints seem to be unfounded. ... show more

  • Best standoffs I've used. Much better than using the T-Post style
Size: 1 Bag
Good option for use with a chain link fence, very secure and easy to install. Made installation faster, and easier than the T-Post style snap on standoffs I've used before. Also, since it's mostly made out of metal, it's much easier to reuse. The older snap on T post style were plastic and became stiff and brittle with age. Not a problem with these. I also found these to be sturdier than the snap on style and are more stable and don't tend to move when snugging the wire. The snap on versions tend to lean a lot more, while these stay in position much better. ... show more

  • Worked ok
Size: 1 Bag
Got the job done. Some parts of my fence that were loose the bracket would fall and I had to use two pins. But overall they worked and I have an electric fence up and my GSP rescue is staying in yard.

  • Great insulator, some work required
Size: 1 Bag
These insulators are great. They hold the wire away from the fence even on the post side of the fence. They are far more secure than the plastic ones. They are more rigid and since they secure tightly to the fence wire they don't lean like the plastic ones either. The trough where the poly rope goes is very tight and the rope has to be "snapped" into it. That gives me more confidence the rope won't droop. One minor issue I had was the hole punched for the screw to hold the plastic part is not big enough to accommodate the screw and I had to drill the hole just slightly. Not a big deal for me anyway. Some might see this as an issue. One other very minor issue is the cotter pins can snap if you're too rough bending them. Only happened to one out of the first 12 I put on. Overall, a far superior product to any of the 100% plastic insulators for chain link fences. I recommend. ... show more

  • Chain link
Size: 1 Bag
Easy to install but seems flimsy like would be knocked sideways easily

  • Really impressed, functions perfect
Size: 1 Bag
Very well built functions exactly as expected. Built well enough to allow some modifications as needed to get perfect fit/alignment on fence.

  • Does stand up to use.
Size: 1 Bag
I have used this type of product for years. At that time, they were manufactured in the USA. These are made in China. light weight metal. The holes for the screws are too small, I had two of them strip out the screws. I enlarged the holes a bit so the screws would not strip out. The plastic insulators are ok except the two arms that accept the wire are spread apart too far for the standard hot wire. This makes the hot wire easy to remove from the insulator when bumped. I would recommend buying a product made in the USA, if you can find it. ... show more

  • Assemble in a Vice!
Size: 1 Bag
These chain link fence insulators were just what I needed to keep the climber dogs from escaping my kennel. I put an electrical wire on the top of the 8' kennel fence. An effective way to assemble the wayward screws into the yellow insulator, is to secure the plastic insulator into a vice and then put more pressure on the screw with an electric screwdriver. The cotter pins were best inserted through the back hole of the melal bracket. The fence isn't heavy-duty, so we had to squeeze the metal extra tight and then bend over one cotter pin leg to secure. ... show more
