I bought this item to replace an older version by a different company to use with our rescue cats/kittens. We use this frequently - and even for adoption events in public venues … so it's imperative they are safe, and 'rip' proof. The very first time I set this up to house 4 kittens ( 6/14/2020 ) they were able to rip out the netting 'window' that rolls up and got out. Unfortunately for us / rescue, we opened it 4 days past the eligibility for refund. So that is not only $50 we won't get back, we'll need to replace it with another ( NEVER THIS BRAND AGAIN.)so there's another $50 down the drain. We are 100% non profit and so this cost is not easy to recoup. Not to mention they won't entertain a refund since we opened a couple days past their refund date. VERY VERY DISSPO(INTING.

Very surprised at how sturdy this product was. I was also glad to see a couple of improvements from the previous model. The top mesh covering is zippered, giving you the option to keep the top opened or zip it shut. There are two zippered mesh side "doors"... with the Velcro at the top of each door, giving you the option to roll up the mesh and keep it out of the way. The floor to this product, is securely sewn, so your pet cannot escape from under it. Two pockets and one mesh pocket, on the outside, are convenient for storage. The entire product could easily be hosed or wiped clean. Overall, the materials are made with good quality. I really was surprised by the actual size... it's pretty spacious. Before buying, I read a lot of the reviews, unsure if this size would be good for my dog (maltese). In the picture below, you can see that my dog and my 13 year old fit inside, with some wiggle room. Even with this product being so spacious, you can fold it up, to fit inside of a carrying bag (included), making it easily portable. If I HAD to come up with a con, it would be that the mesh material, even though it's not made with a cheap mesh, could be scratched through by a determined pet. Otherwise, I am completely happy with this product!

Initially, the pen appeared to be an excellent choice. However, one of the reasons we purchased the pet playpen was for its apparent portability. After all, the word 'Foldable' appears in the description. Perhaps I'm a complete dunce, but getting the pen folded and back into the original container proved to be difficult at best... even after following the picture-based somewhat cryptic instructions and matching the folding with the pictures. Even worse, in the process of folding, one of the support wires/plastic rods/whatever snapped in two... and we were not trying to force the issue. We were merely trying to follow the directions/pictures to the best of our ability (which was apparently lacking). Perhaps there is a secret to the folding process, but it was not revealed to us in the instructions nor at any place in the folding process. There was nothing in the folding procedure to justify the description of the product as being easy to fold down... easy to set up, certainly, but not easy to fold and put back in the carry bag. Perhaps a one star review is a bit too harsh, but it was very frustrating to fold the pen and put it back in the carrying bag... and then to have it break... well, I'll keep the one star in place. We now have a broken Pet 45" Playpen Foldable Portable from Zampa. I'm guessing it will fold a bit easier next time due to the broken support? If you simply want a cloth mesh enclosed pen and you don't plan on folding it and putting it in the carrying bag, then you can add some additional stars. If you want to have a cloth mesh enclosed pen that you want to fold and take with you, perhaps you should look elsewhere. Not happy with the product.

I bought the Zampa for my sister's new puppy so that they can visit our house without my sister having to spend her whole day running after an 8-week old puppy in a "cat" house that is most certainly not puppy-proof. The Zampa was affordable and had great reviews, so I decided to take a chance. I am so happy to say that I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase! The Zampa is large enough to give Alek (he's a 10.8 lbs white Labrador, so he's pretty big for his age) plenty of room to play, without taking up too much room in the den. My sister lined the bottom of the Zampa with puppy pads, but Alek had an accident where he managed to urinate on the one inch of space not covered by a puppy pad, so my sister quickly wiped down the floor of the Zampa just to be safe. She reported back that the Zampa was very easy to clean and that there was no lingering wetness or odor after she cleaned. Like an energetic walker on The Walking Dead, Alek bit and knawed on most of the cage when he was left to his own devices, but there have been no rips or tears. Plus, he looked adorable trying to bite vertical, screened surfaces. I couldn't be happier with this purchase!! (I'm attaching pictures to show the size of the Zampa, but mostly because Alek is so adorable!)
