I have used tampons and have wanted to move away from them, so I decided to try out discs. I first tried the Flex disc, but I felt sore "down there" after about 3 hours. I then moved on to the Flex cup, but that was really uncomfortable to wear and remove. I decided to try the Lumma disc, since that was smaller than the Flex disc. Unfortunately, that was too stiff and the "string" was uncomfortable. Finally, I tried EcoBlossom for the smaller size and the comparable flexibility of the Flex disc. And IT WORKS! I do like the ability to wear this product for long periods without having to worry about changing and leaking. The insertion is relatively easy, along with removal. For anyone having difficulty removing, the tip to "bear down" like you are pooping really helps. (I learned how to use discs through Flex's videos, so try that if you are unsure.) There is a slight mess with removal, but I do so at home where I can clean it without a problem. And, unlike the other products, I barely felt the disc all day!! On top of everything, the price is quite reasonable for a reusable disc. I'll try to update this post if it "wears out" in the future. (For perspective for others, I am 5' 1", 150 lbs, and have a medium-high cervix and no kids.)

Compared to other discs I've tried, it was super easy to insert and a much more comfortable wear. Great value for the price! However, I have pelvic organ prolapse and it won't stay inserted for me.

I tried period cups and due to being small they never fit right, I could feel them, or they would leak. After testing out the disposable discs at the store I could tell the shape might be a better option for me. Ever since receiving these, they are all I use! I can’t feel it, it’s easy to take in and out, I wash it with soap after every use and “sterilize” it in boiling water and soap after each period. I don’t see myself switching to anything else for a long time.

While the disc is not perfect (slight leakage requires a panty liner for me), I love not having to change tampons multiple times a day. It makes my periods a little easier to manage and I feel better about my environmental impact.

This did not work as well as I had hoped it would. I used at the end of my last cycle and it was fine. Inserts well. Very comfortable. Seemed to not leek. Once I tried to use it at the beginning of my next cycle and my flow was heavier, I was not impressed at all. It is not leek proof at all, though I know I inserted it correctly. Very messy. I do not recommend. I am going back to menstrual cups. They can be trickier to insert, but overall they just work much better.

So, I will start off by saying that I am a longtime softdisc user, (disposable discs). Using discs instead of other traditional menstrual products has made a huge difference in my periods and I can not recommend them enough! This was my first time trying reusable discs, though. I definitely prefer the disposable ones I was using but would like to get used to reusable for a number of reasons, the top 2 being cost, and sustainability. I found that the silicone rim of these are a bit too squishy compared to the firmer plastic of the disposable. It makes insertion and placement far more difficult. If I was new at discs, I don't believe I would have been able to do it at all. It kind of just balls up during insertion and needed quite a bit of adjusting once in. I found I had far more leakage than I'm used to even though both products are exactly the same size. I will say that I didn't receive mine until I was nearing the end of my period so I'd like to give it a whole week before really deciding whether to continue with it or keep looking. I have tried these consecutively for 3 periods now. Idk if it’s because I have an iud or what but it just cannot keep up with the amount of blood I have, it might also be I haven’t figured out how to get them to work! If I cough or sneeze then it squirts out, also every time I pee it squirts out. I have had to wear a pad with it every time. I really do hope I can get this to work for me but I’ll update if I do

If it goes in properly it works. It is hard to get it in proper position as it doesn't always seem to have enough stability to open up properly, and if it stays pinched it is very uncomfortable and does not work.
