Our house was built in 1970, and despite having already replaced the HVAC system and insulation, there’s still a 3–5°F temperature difference between the upstairs and downstairs during summer. On the hottest days, the bedroom can reach 78–80°F. Last month, I picked up a portable AC unit — installation was straightforward and took me only about 20 minutes. For the first two weeks, the weather was mild, so I used it mainly as a dehumidifier (it does require a drain outlet). It did a great job drying out the air, which made a noticeable difference in comfort. Then the heat kicked in over the past couple of days, and the cooling performance has been equally impressive. The noise level is acceptable. My favorite feature, though, is the auto-control and timer function. Since the second half of the night tends to stay cooler, I can set it to scale back or shut off automatically — no need to cool a room that doesn’t need it.，

This is smaller than my last portable which is great, much quieter and has lots of functionality. It hasn’t been too warm yet so time will tell. Comes with a long window insert which is great since I have large rolling windows!

This portable AC is blowing my mind. Most of ACs have remote control and this one does as well. I am not a very organized person and sometimes I couldn't find the remote control and ended up I have to physically walk to the AC and turn it on/off which is very annoying. This one has an app which helps me a lot and don't have to find the remote control anymore. I love it. Also, the sound of it is pretty quiet so I put it in my bedroom. I like to sleep with totally dark environment. I found out it has light off function which can make the room totally dark and not affect any of my sleep quality. I like it. Highly recommend to use it in the bedroom if you are like me can't tolerant noise and light. This is your go to. The price is also affordable compared to others with these add-on functions that others don't have. Highly recommend.

The cooling power is solid for a medium-sized room. It brings the temperature down very quickly and maintains a comfortable environment. The unit is relatively compact and easy to move, which is a big plus if you want to use it in different rooms. One of my favorite features is the drainage-free design.
