Was shipped on time with appropriate safe packaging. ( I still tilted unit to unpack so I waited the suggested 2 days to settle the fluids before initiated use) All 3 settings have run efficiently as hoped for. Air conditioner brought the 10 X 14 room from 80 to 62 degrees F. In less than 2 hours. Fan setting is nice to aerate room when moderate temperatures outside. The dehumidifier worked on less hot days since location is 3 miles from the Sea and gets humidity. I attached the hose to a one gallon bucket and emptied about 1-2 cups of water after running all day/night. For installation I used the panel components vertically with weather- stripping and it looked neat and worked well.( was able to install with windows screen in place) I also used a window security screw which only allows window to slide open only so far( the width of enclosed exiting hose /panel) I allowed close to 2 feet distance between window and Unit. ( secured it like a water heater to prevent falls) There's discussion on pros and cons of collapsing venting hose to a shorter distance and having Unit closer to window to decrease less warm air escaping via vent hose and seeping back into room one is cooling. I went with the Instructions and like the Unit about to 2-3 feet into the room space and it is successful in maintaining low temperature so far. Am loving the remote control while in bed, although have not used all the variations yet. White noise is acceptable to me, or when cool enough I shut it off for the night.( settings for that, too) I'm glad I could set it up by myself( a senior woman with " not just a pretty face!") Weight of Unit is ok, rolling castors are effective. I really did well in purchasing this unit. I don't need it every month, but does the job when it's too hot.

The A/C works great. Really cools the area nicely. I did need to cut the brace that goes in the window and it took a second for me to figure out what the pieces were for. You will still need to have caulk or some way to seal the window piece. Water does come in after rain (I live in South Texas where it barely rains - so not big deal for me). I cut out a cardboard piece to go between the window sill and the window brace. The part that comes with the unit is maybe about 1/4" thick and my window sill is about 1" thick. We also have scorpions, snakes and such - so I'm not taking any chances in my kid's room. The drain cord could be longer, it will not reach the window and the height would cause backwash anyway. We have a little bucket that we have to dump a couple times a day and a little fishing bobber rigged to easily see the height of the water. You may need to dump more depending on your humidity level (it's dry here). The sleep option just dims the light a little, not a major amenity. I do stress that the system does cool quickly. I really cannot gauge the loudness - I feel it's loud, but we like quiet and it's a startle when it kicks on and off (we'll probably get used to it over time).

Love this portable AC! It is reasonably priced for a really good build. It is pretty quite and effective. It works perfect for our bedroom to save electricity, instead of running the central AC for the entire house. I particularly love the size, easy to fit into a corner without occupying too much space.

Worked fine for a year, was loud. Now it refuses to work while displaying E2 on the lcd. I emailed Zafro through their website for help but did not hear back and I doubt I ever will. This AC is trash now.
