I recently bought a used quarter sawn oak dining table and chairs. Although it is in reasonably good condition, there are some cloudy areas and imperfections to the wood surface of the table. I wanted to find a product that had carnuba wax as an ingredient but no petroleum or other toxic chemicals. This wax is food grade yet really helped bring back the luster and color of my dining table. It’s easy to apply and works great. It did not remove all of the imperfections but that would be an unreasonable expectation given the condition of the table. The media could not be loaded. It’s great stuff, slather it on your ol’ wood and rub it for a minute, then just let it set with the compound on it for a couple hours, then wipe it down, and then lightly and vigorously rub it with some cloth to make a nice polished piece of wood.

Although the original finish on my newer butcher block island top is a combination of Tung and Orange oil, its been a several months since I completed the project and I wanted to treat the wood again. I wanted to try something different so I purchased ZBD GOODS Z's Wood Nectar Wood Wax (9oz) and I am very satisfied with this food safe product. It is easy to apply and lightly scented. I bought this to finish a red oak shelf in a square drop camper. I was concerned about smell (I am very sensitive to smells) and it being used in an enclosed small space, I figured would exacerbate it. I also wanted something which would be food safe. This product worked perfectly. I put a few coats onto the wood and it really seems to have worked perfectly. I did not notice any smell after a few days. A great surprise is that this also matches the S-2 stain which is on our Amish built furniture. We can't find whatever that finish was anymore but we used this on one piece of furniture which needed repaired and it is an almost undetectable difference...most wouldn't know there was a difference. ... show more
