From wooden furniture to serving dishes, this oil is a game changer. So easy to apply. Just let it sit and soak in. Wipe off any excess and see your beautiful wood come to life. I used it on an old end table and some of my wooden cutting boards. It was such a great value, and it is food grade so it's completely safe to use on your serving bowls, serving spoons and cutting boards. I highly recommend this oil.

LOVE IT! Pure food grade tung oil is the best way to treat your cutting boards, wooden utensils or wood handles in the kitchen. This option a nice amount for treating multiple items at a good price. However... It is not super easy to use: it needs rubbed into the wood very well with the excess then wiped off after it sits for a bit; it takes 4-6 coats to treat wood; 1-2 days between coats as drying times; 7-10 days after final coat before exposure to washing; and about 30 day for a full cure (if you want to wait for a full cure before using). Yes, it takes some time and effort. However, if you want the best protection for you wood from both water damage as well as drying out, I dont think there is a better alternative in my opinion. Well worth the effort.

Bought this for my cutting boards and knives. Works well, but you do have to let it sit for several hours, and then reapply. No taste imparted from the oil to food, so I'd purchase again.

Edit: sorry I mixed up my reviews and don’t know how to fix it. I meant to leave this for the stain. But that’s the same brand so I’m sure this is great too just been too busy to use it yet! I didn’t wanna get some crazy high fumes stain given I live in an apartment and it’s too hot right now to be staining stuff outside and possibly ruining my rented balcony and stuff. And I just wanted this for a little craft project. Anyway, I used this with a sponge brush and rag and just applied it to my unfinished rings. I did a few coats. Use the paper towels/rag to smooth it out while wet so it goes on evenly. I still have to get a wood wax/sealant which I’ll probably buy from this same brand. The more layers you do, the darker and more pronounced the color gets. You can still are the grain of the wood through it and it’ll look even better once I get it finished. But I’m just excited I found a stain that’s safe, not smelly, and easy to use. No crazy ventilation or equipment required here. Tip: As with any stain, don’t leave the rags you use to apply in the sun.

As a wood carver it is important to me to make sure my figures last and look beautiful when finished. What I was most pleased with was its easy mess free application process. Being that most oils are messy, the fact that it dries completely makes the process of finalizing my sculptures quicker. Following the directions, I found that performance wise this product has deeply penetrated the wood grain leaving a beautiful glow.

The product itself is great, my complaint is about the Packaging. The product leaked out, lost a good ounce of product. The cap was tight, the seal inside the cap was saturated with the oil, the product caused the seal to fail.
