Previously we ordered a multi-tier chandelier for our bathroom, and it was pretty junky and crooked. This was second runner-up, and it's structurally very sound. I think the metal components are good quality and so are the crystals. With little rings to attach the crystals, it was a bit challenging to put together, but once you got it the hang of it, it was fine. Might be more difficult for big hands or ladies with long nails. Also to note, as you're viewing it from underneath, it seems it would benefit from having more crystals to attach and therefore fuller. Another thing to consider is because the roof of the crystals is a flat sheet of metal, light does not reflect from over top of the chandelier as much as one might prefer. General aesthetics and quality it's 5 stars, but given some of the drawbacks, I gave it 4. ... show more

If you are simply replacing an old fixture (I.e. there’s a current electric box in place) you don’t need some of the screw packs included. We removed the previous fixture and used the same screws to hold the round plate it comes with. Here are the steps I’d recommend if you have a helper who can hold the light: remove previous fixture and save the screws then push the black wire of the new fixture through one of the three bar holes. I put the crystals for the outer two rings as I had someone to help hold it up, if it’s just you, might want to skip it as it’ll get heavy. Screw in the base round plate, then screw the light fixture with the two small side screws. Then add the rest of the crystals. We got the black fixture and used black electric tape to secure the wire to the rods. The entire thing took about 40 minutes and that’s mostly because of the crystals. It’s very similar to any other fixture you’d install. ... show more

Installed the chandelier in the living room. Used six 60W equivalent tubular LED bulbs. Looks good, the family approved appearance and brightness. I did not want to deduct any stars from overall rating because the chandelier is really nice-looking and of a good quality. But I gave it 4 stars in "easy to install" category. That's why. The crystals are supposed to be hung by connecting the small key ring to the tiny eye at the base. It is a quite difficult task. And disassembling would be even more difficult. I purchased 1/2" mini S hooks on Amazon for $6 or $7 and used them for hanging (see the photo). I do not think this 1/2" elongation hurt the appearance. Just wanted to share this with people who decide to buy this chandelier. And maybe suggestion to the manufacturer to improve the ease of hanging this way or another. ... show more
