As a woodturner, one of the hollowing tools used in bowl turning is a circle cutter mounted at the end of a steel shaft for scraping the inside of a bowl, among other uses. These are great because they can be rotated to a fresh cut zone until completely dull. I got these for that purpose and I wasn't disappointed, they cut like butter and are sized right. I got the 12mm ones as that is the most often used in my shop. They came with their own screws which was a subject of concern for the thread match of my turning tool. As I dreaded, it was the same thread count but the screw was a tiny bit larger and wouldn't fit into my tool. This is not really a big deal; I just used the old screw which has the same bevel as the circle cutter. I tried one of them on some dry hardwood, which is typically a difficult turn, and was quite satisfied with the cutting action. The beveled edge of the cutters can be maneuvered for light to aggressive cutting by tilting the cutter in and out of the wood surface. At a jaw-dropping price of under $3 a piece, this is a steal, even if you go through them faster than those costing 6 times more, you get 10 of them for the price of 2 of the far more expensive ones. ... show more

These are a perfect fit for EWT tools (and probably several others). They cut very well, and leave a good surface. The edges are sharp, and appear well formed. I don’t know whether they’ll last as long as the EWT inserts, but time will tell. At roughly $3.60 each they don’t have to last very long to be a good value. ... show more
