I bought this as a gift for a teenage girl, so she would have a safe place to keep cash or valuables away from siblings and younger nieces and nephews. I was surprised at how heavy and sturdy it was when I got it - it was a very reasonable price for something this strong. I had no problems getting to lock and unlock with the key. I appreciate that it’s able to be unlocked with either a code or with the key. It also holds a good amount of stuff for the size that it is. Overall, this was a very easy to use product and it was a great value for the money. Here’s a polished and clearer version of your review: Before buying this safe box, make sure you understand what you’re getting and whether it fits your needs. The product looks very nice, and the price is excellent. However, this is not a heavy-duty safe. It’s probably fine for light security, but not for protecting high-value items. The programming process is also a bit confusing. You can only store one code at a time, and to program a new code you must press the red reset button located behind the door. After resetting, you enter your code and then press the “E” button to confirm it. The keypad design is strange. There is also a “C” button, but its purpose is unclear — it almost feels like the keypad was borrowed from another product. It’s good that the manufacturer includes backup keys, because otherwise you could end up locked out. Another confusing point is that the door does not lock automatically when you press “C,” as some users might expect. You must manually turn the locking mechanism into the locked position. Once locked, the safe can only be opened by entering the correct code followed by “E,” or by using the backup key. ... show more

I purchased this safe in September 2025 and initially had no issues with its basic operation. However, after approximately two months of non-use, I was unable to recall the passcode. In attempting to use the provided backup keys within four months of purchase, I discovered that the key mechanism was no longer functional and would not engage the locking system. Upon further inspection, it appeared the internal keyhole mechanism was stripped, preventing the key from turning the dial and overriding the electronic lock. In retrospect, a more thorough inspection of the unit upon delivery may have helped identify this defect earlier. At present, the safe remains inaccessible and contains important personal items. Additionally, I have encountered difficulty establishing contact with the manufacturer to pursue a resolution. I would advise prospective buyers to carefully test both the electronic and mechanical override functions immediately upon receipt to ensure full operational reliability. Upon further inspection, it appears the internal keyhole mechanism may be stripped, preventing the key from turning the dial and overriding the electronic lock. I bought this safe on May 6. Since than I have had to change the passcode twice be cause it wouldn't open when I put my correct passcode in. No one else has gotten in to it because they keys have been sitting in my bigger safe that no one else has access too. It serves in purpose but ya get what ya pay for. ... show more
