I think I expected the overall size to LOOK bigger than it does, but I’m pleasantly surprised that it takes up a lot less space in my work area than some of my 72 pencil books do. It’s thicker than my 72 pencil books are but takes up less workspace than they do. I also like the fact that each of the 3 pages have their own zipper, because I put 2 different sets of pencils plus some sketch pencils in this book and only have to open the section I’m working with, leaving the rest securely zipped up so I’m not worried about knocking or dropping the color swatch pages or brushes I keep with my other individual sets onto the ground. Decided I would finally upgrade my colored pencil storage from a plastic box to this beautiful 120 slot case. What a GREAT decision!! All my pencils are now stored in order, easily accessible at a glance and easy to return them to their proper location. LOVE the zippered enclosures - very secure for pencils, small sketch pad and accessories. Donated a few of my duplicate pencils, and now I have a few slots open for more pencils!! NOTE: Haven't had this item long enough to make an informed decision about "durability". However, after daily use for the past month, I've had no issues with the zippers, elastic, cover or any other feature of this item.... Outstanding purchase!! Thank You! ... show more

I love this case. I like that it has a strap handle, and the sections have smooth working zippers. It is very nice and has lots of room for my watercolor pencils. They fit perfectly. it comes in several colors too.

(But not watercolor pencils; I hate watercolor pencils, and they stay in the tins because they're a MESS.) I'll say I didn't TRUST this to have and carry without damaging my favorite items, so I went slow. Now my favorites (pencils, pens, gel pens, etc) are in this lovely book! There's plenty of space between the pages so the pencils aren't BANGING against each other: STURDY FIT! I think I'm going to try to sew a pocket into the left-most end page to hold erasers and sharpeners and "tools", because my tools don't fit the special elastics. I guess they would, but I think a little "pocket" would be more helpful there (especially for files, blades, and kneaded erasers), although you can stick a fat brush in those for getting rid of eraser gunk or shavings, which is handy. I love that I think I CAN sew something into this. That's pretty sturdy, because I cannot sew! Sadly, I might have to order another one. The pens and pencils slip out so much more easily than I had imagined (I mean they're held tightly, but a tilt of the book lets you easily poke out the pencil or pen you need). This imo is far superior to the roll-up styles: I can turn pages and don't hear the sickening sound of pencils slapping together. That zipper bit is what keeps everything in place without touching: excellent design! A+ (Also, feels like leather; looks like a purse. Very fond of it.) ... show more
