1.) I was a bit worried at first given that this new set’s slots do not separate from the single rows. That makes it a little difficult to put labels on them for a current project but easier for storing extra gems. 2.) When I got this one of the box’s hinges was broken and some of the lids to the slots wouldn’t close but you could either switch out that row from another set you’re not using or you can leave it be. The locks on the sides do not buckle so once you lock the container it is locked! No gems would be escaping through these containers even if one of the slot’s lids doesn’t close. 3.) I was worried that it would be hard to get the gems out of the slots without a whole bunch dumping all over the place but that hasn’t happened because of how they are connected. So just a little tilt and tap will get you a decent amount of gems to spill out. 4.) the slots look relatively small and like they wouldn’t hold a lot of gems but they do! They can hold almost a full pouch of gems! At first when I got these in the mail I was skeptical and worried that the cuteness wouldn’t be worth it. But these are worth it and you get so much for your money! Even for the broken hinge and the few slots that wouldn’t close: to be fair, it is a cheap item but it is durable, stores a lot, the slots are hard to lose unlike any other containers I’ve bought, they are a bit easy to use once you figure out how to hold the row and get the gems out with a decent amount, and adds personality to not just what project you are working on. I even used these when I still had a bit of a concussion after a car accident and I still wasn’t able to spill the gems everywhere so I’m convinced this set is durable and easy to use even with the slots being connected. Great for tiny things like beads under 5 mm, diamond paints, or nail decorations. I really like that there are rows of 4 compartments that are connected and they can be removed from the bigger container. Plus each compartment has its own lid. Good quality, a great price, and so convenient! I really love using these. They make diamond art so much more enjoyable. I love that it comes with labels so you can identify which beads are which. When I do my beads, it’s nice to have the four together in case I want to grab an extra from one of the other compartments. I’ve rebought these several times for me, my friends, and family. I have to keep several sets on hand. Also nice for leftover beads. Would rate as a 10 if I could. ... show more

This is the best I have found to use while I work on any Diamond Painting. They hold the beads in by having a closing top and the tray is big enough to hold quite a bit of bead packages. This depends on how big your diamond painting is. The beads box is priced reasonably.

This is very good drill storage for diamond painting and I have used this product for quite some time, ordering more as I became more adept at the craft. Every diamond painter out there knows that each person develops their own way of doing things and finds what works for them. While this product worked for me for a while, I have found that with the constant opening and closing of the lids as I work on a project, some of the lids lose their grip, just flop open, won't close securely, and become unusable. This would not necessarily be a problem if not for the fact that there are four containers attached together in each row, so when one becomes floppy and unusable, I have to tape it shut, mark it with an "X" and use the remaining attached compartments. This means a lot of unusable space is taken up in the outer container box, which means I have a lot more container boxes taking up room in my work space, a lot of shuffling the container boxes around. When one lid goes bad, it pretty much makes the whole row of four connected containers a bit of a pain, which is not what diamond art is all about. This is not a bad product, and I do not hesitate recommending it for anyone starting out in this craft to use it for this purpose as it is relatively inexpensive and will not require a major investment as one determines whether to continue with the craft. For me, as I have progressed in executing larger projects, it no longer fits my needs. I need maximum drill storage in a small amount of space. One way in which I recommend an improvement in this product is to not attach four containers in a row so that when one goes bad, the whole row has to be thrown out. I am moving on to larger, separate containers with screw-top lids as opposed to snap lids which wear out after a couple of projects. ... show more
