XXL: Huge, but not as strong as some would like, and length needs securing (e.g. with duct tape)

The XXL version has an impressive capacity (good for, e.g., multiple banners and canopy valances). The plastic is thinner than expected, and thinner than many would like. That makes this a good, lightweight tube for carrying around but not protective enough as checked luggage (one would need to put this in a long box for protection against crushing damage in an airplane cargo hold). It's nice that the strap is connected directly to the cap, so the cap cannot be lost. One suggestion: When you get it to the length you need, duct tape it into this position. One slight twist and the length adjustment comes unlocked, so it needs to be secured. Overall, this is a great deal, especially the two-pack (if you don't need two, you'll have a spare, or can gift it to someone).

They meet my basic needs. They would make a very good tube to hold architectural drawings, roll up some of your kids school pictures you want to frame or leave for them when they are older, beats having boxes and running the risk of damaging them. Or you could put your college posters you wish you still had because vintage brings in $$$. Also ideal for the every day run of the mill art thief - wide mouth means it will hole quite a bit. Bear in mind that the tubes are not heavy gauge plastic... very thin - so caveat emptor but it does the job. Caveat Emptor is Latin is the axiom or principle in commerce that the buyer alone is responsible for assessing the quality of a purchase before buying. AKA a commercial principle that without a warranty the buyer takes upon himself the risk of quality: The straps are adjustable making it convenient over the back hold while repelling from the museum roof top. The only negative and it has been noted in other remarks is the smell when you open the containers. I opened them both up, took a whiff and man oh man did it stink. I did not recognize it.. It did not matter. The easy cure was to pour shot glass size of fresh ground coffee. I tipped them up, covers off, with coffee in them on the patio for as long as it took to get rid of the funk. Do not use water - keep it dry - reduces the additional mess surrounding cleaning the unit yet again. I kept it outside only to reduce the risk that it would stink so bad as to set off a gaseous plume in the garage. After I sealed them up - left them out for another day or so to see if the funk had returned. No it did not... Brought them back in the house - have one left to fill. The one I used after adjusting the length is now holding my 2 Kites... what did you think it was going to be Art work?

Flimsy but serviceable

The XX-Large model is extremely flimsy because the molded plastic material it's made out of is very thin. I can dent it just by rather gently pushing or squeezing with my hands, although it does bounce back into its original shape afterward. Adjusting the length of the tube can be difficult at certain lengths because of the flexibility of the tube. I'm disappointed with how thin and cheap it feels, and I don't have much confidence in its durability. It also has a strong plastic smell--almost burnt. Having said that, if you don't plan to entrust it into the hands of postal service or airline baggage handling and you don't treat it roughly, it can do the job depending on your needs. I just need it to keep dust off of posters, board game mats, etc., and for that it will do fine. When I carry these outside the house I will take extra precautions not to damage them. Can't beat the price, but you get what you pay for. Know ahead of time what you're getting and it might just do the job for you, flimsiness notwithstanding.

Great product. I like the fact that I could buy in small numbers, as I needed only one or two to store posters and canvas prints. It's not as sturdy as a heavy cardboard tube, so it might be susceptible to crushing, but I think it will hold up very well. And it's better protected from water. I'm highly satisfied!
