  • I didn't realize I needed a drill rack until I had it. Think I need more racks.
Style: 3 layers-5 Holes
I’ve always had my drills laying in their bags or in a drawer, thought it would certainly help organize them in one place. Worked out great. Glad I picked it up! It has three shelves and two side racks that will hold some my in house tools tools in one place. Organizes my portable drill sets, screwdrivers, and batteries in an efficient manner. Installed this on wall next to water heater in utility room. I would recommend fastening it to studs, wood, or metal pegboard - I would NOT suggest fastening this to drywall. If you do and it fails, it won't be the product's fault! Product is as advertised. Sturdy enough to hold drills and boxes of accessories for them. [It would be cool if:] This was a 4 or 5 shelf rack, now I have to get another for the extra tools laying around in house. I only have a few cordless drills, but have cordless saws, and other cordless items I keep in the house. I need 2 shelves just for the batteries alone. [Packaging & Delivery:] The packaging is as expected and arrived without incident. Delivery was fast and as promised. Highly Recommend. Well worth the price. All in all I am very happy. I am comfortable with the 4 stars. I have no problem recommending tool rack or the seller. So, why did I take off the star? I had some problems putting this unit together. I had to bend and twist one side for the bolts to line up. I think it would have been better that the rack had threaded holes that all could be bolted into place instead of messing with the nuts and bolts. ... show more

  • Almost a 5-star product, quality issues
Style: 3 layers-4 Holes
What I'd say about this thing is there are a lot of little things wrong with it. I'm still going to hang it and use it in my shop, but it could be so much better. First, the hanging holes for it are 15.25" on center from each other (I have the "4-hole 3 layer" model), for people who don't know what that means, you can't hang this thing from two studs. It's preferable to hang something heavy, like this presumably will be with my cordless tools on it, from two studs... What you want is 16" on center to hit 2 studs. 15.25 is just a 3/4" short of that, so it's just ever so close to being good in that regard. I don't really trust the included anchors to hold 4 cordless drill/drivers and batteries in drywall. Although, in my garage, I have a plywood wall so, I should be able to screw right into that for safe hanging.. If you don't maybe screw a board to the back of it, then screw the board to the wall into the studs. Or if you have a masonry wall, the anchors should be fine with that, or a couple of tapcons. Second, when you assemble it, the holes don't all line up, while most of them are super wide to allow a bit of extra spacing, on my unit, for the second and top shelves, I had to bend it while I had my wife insert the bolts to get the holes to line up. I shouldn't have to bend the thing to get the holes to line up. The directions aren't hard to follow, it's 6 screws to build the thing, but it seems like it was probably written with the help of Google Translate. Overall? It fits my drills and impact drivers just fine, my annoyances were mainly during assembly, which you do all of once. That said, with how many of these are on the market, if I were going to buy one of these, I might consider some other options. This will do the job, but it's more on in the realm of "OK" than great. ... show more

  • Works pretty good
Style: 2 layers-4 Holes
I mean… it’s not a piano, so build quality isn’t paramount; finish is good, welds are good, steel is of reasonable gauge for the task. But there’s a lot of play in the bolts/holes before everything’s tightened down. It affords some wiggle room to get all the parts to line up nicely, so it’s not a really big deal. Once everything is tightened down snugly, there’s no movement. Assembly was a little awkward fiddling with the nuts and bolts while keeping the parts aligned; but in hindsight I could’ve used a quick clamp to ease the task. The shelf holds my two drills, an impact gun, and 5.5” circular saw. My Ryobi rotary cutter fits also, but doesn’t see enough use to warrant a seat at this table. The top shelf is large enough to hold a couple chargers, as well. As for the added hand tool hangers, the included pegboard-style hooks are fairly flimsy, but there are enough holes/slots to be useful. Tools hang securely enough to survive a typical California quake, but I don’t know that I’ll be doing any YouTube trick shot videos where I toss my $200 drill across the room into its hanging slot. It also seems plenty sturdy for a single-person shop, where the user of the tools was also the buyer of the tools; I don’t know if this would hold up to the whole crew slamming company drills in at the end of the day. Overall, pretty good. I received this free of charge to use and review, but I feel like if I’d bought this I’d be pretty happy with it for the price. ... show more

  • Maybe I won't forget where I left my drill...
Style: 3 layers-5 Holes
I really needed a better way to store my tools, in particular my drills and impact driver. I tend to leave them all over the house and forget where. So far, this rack has been 'home' to some of my most used tools and accessories. Assembly was intuitive. The instructions are not much help as the graphics are very small but not really needed. They include a wrench and a hex allen key. The rack comes with 4 hooks and 2 velcro straps which you can use to hang a few bigger items like cords or other tools like they show in the manufacturer's photos. I think they should have spaced the holes used to hold screw drivers a bit further apart as the typical handles bump into each other in adjacent holes. They provide mollies to mount this rack into drywall - I would advise against this. You are going to be storing heavy tools on this rack and it could easily pull out of drywall. It would be best to attach directly to studs or nailer or plywood backer board. The mounting holes are a bit short of 16" so be warned. I attached mine to a nailer I bolted to the side of another rack I have in my garage. ... show more
