Why did you pick this product vs others?: I wanted to upgrade from my standard rack which only carried 55lbs and this upgrade said it can handle up to 300lbs. To be honest, I’ve carried up to 100lbs on this system and it still holds up very well! Works well: As stated above, with 100lbs on the carrier, it works very well. I recommend that you look at how you want to carry your stuff but also, add to this if all possible with a box carrier on top of the rack to offer more capabilities and it saves from carrying pannier but I like mine cause I carry my tools and water in them. Value for money: Excellent price and holds up very well! Hardware included: All the tools were included but there’s no clear instructions on what goes where. Ease of installation: This part was honestly the hardest part. After installing the main piece, the rest became a guessing game. Once you figure it out, it’s not too hard but I recommend watching the video on here or on YouTube to understand what to do.

I keep breaking welds on my bike racks that can't stand up to the rattling of third world roads. They last less than a year. This is a completely different approach that uses lots of beefy, i.e heavy, hardware to bolt the pieces of the rack together in place of welding them. The result is a significantly larger capacity, at a cost of significant weight. Weighs 2 lbs more than the 1.5lb racks that keep breaking, nearly all of it being bolts and screws. Installation takes longer too as you are bolting together pieces that usually come welded together. The rack clamps on to your seat stays, and they include rubber gaskets to keep from scratching the bike. It was easy to avoid interfering with the exposed, bare rear shift cable. The hardware is first quality including locking bolts, design is well thought out, and they include all the tools you'll need and clear instructions. If it fails, I'll be back, if there's no update, you can assume it's still going. Update: 9 months later, it's still going strong. I didn't appreciate how much higher up this thing sits compared to other racks, about 6 inches higher. That means all the panniers that normally hit your heels when you pedal are out of the way with this thing. One thing of note: I kept checking and retightening all the bolts each month and lots of them needed tightening for the first two months as things settled into position. By month three everything remained tight.

It works for my modified-unique installation of the back seat and provides plenty of hardware nuts & bolts to install. My electric bike has the bigger pipe of the front seat, and surprisingly its clamp big enough to be inserted and tied down. It is rigid as described to handle people weight to seat on. Good value!

This reach is a pain in the @$$ to install with 37 pieces connected dependent on one another. Get your seat height right first so you dont have to fiddle with it after install. My wife weighs 150lb. and im now able to throw her on the back of my fat tire 3000 watt ebike and cruise around town. I mounted a modified dirt bike seat to a 1x6 and mounted the 1x6 to the rack. Easy peezy. This thing does not flex at all and my wife feels totally secure. It says its not for fat tire bikes but it fits fine. Dont worry if you have fat tires; I have at least half an inch of room on each side with mine.

I installed this rack with only the seat post bar and 1 rear support. I don't really expect to haul around 300 plus pounds on it, that's like a fully equipped Marine riding shotgun. I was able to have the support attach to mounting holes on the frame for a very clean look. Hardware is good, with nylon lock nuts holding most parts together, I am going to use Loctite 222 on the rest. Instructions weren't great, and the video on Amazon was only so-so, but it was enough to get er done.

It's akin to a jigsaw puzzle. If you have a little patience and some basic mechanical ability you should have no problem assembling. I added a basket to mine. Which I would recommend, unless you are just carrying flat boxes that would easily strap on. It feels solidly built. I don't plan on testing it's 310 lb weight limit. My bike only has 330 lb limit and I'm 220. It's a nice rack and great value at the price.

Really solid bike rack. A few pieces to put together, but really not that hard. I have braze-on connections and it fit well using those, but includes brackets for attaching to any frame. This was bought for my Yamaha communter ebike.
