The included instructions are easy to follow, and they included the tools required to put it together (though, not the tools to take pieces off of our bike that we needed to do to install it, but how could they?) Our child has a saxophone for bank that he needs to take every day. Normal bike cargo carriers are too narrow and the sax would try to slip off. This carrier was the answer. The wings allow the instrument to sit securely in place. The bungee that came with it, however, wasn’t strong enough so we ordered lashing straps. Worked great.

This product a POS!. If you only plan to use this while riding on smooth paved trails through a gentle park, get it. But if any of your roads of travel have even the slightest bumps don't waste your money. The bolts will rattle loose and the set adjustment pegs will snap. This rack rattles and has a ton of slack causing a lot of rattles. If you can find it for under $10 get it. Otherwise make sure you find a quality name brand reliable rack.

Nice and sturdy/stable, pretty easy to install but the brackets to hook the supports to the tubing of the frame were bigger than any bike I’ve ever seen. Thankfully the screws fit properly in the mounting holes on all of my bikes.

Be aware a lot of normal panier bags won't fit with the flaps down like they would with a fixed rack. I tried with the flap all the way up with just my back pag pannier bag and it fell down within mile. The expandable part is cool but don't pretend this is actually a pannier rack.

Tends to move from side to side with anything over 20 pounds on it. And yes I've got it tightened up as much as possible. Have a pannier on it for groceries and it moves on me.
