It's VERY soft, a little too soft since I've had almost 2 visitors slip on the rug but other than that it's great! I just opened it, the instructions state that it'll be 2 days before the padding and everything restores itself considering it came in vacuum sealed but it was still very soft and lightly padded out of the packaging, I'll update after 2 days just to be sure. Once again, the rug is very soft, you could lounge on it for a bit, it's very big as well, you have to hand wash it, and it has a good grip on wooden floors, I'd definitely recommend it! I love it! Two day update: Not much changed but it feels a bit more padded, still soft and cushioned though

Let me start off by saying this rug isn’t perfect. It’s funny to see all the bad reviews on a $30 rug. I mean it’s $30. What do you expect? With that being said, my dog approves. You can see that where the rug was folded looks not so great, but again….$30.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this rug for our office/game room. It came vacuum packed in a pretty small box. It doesn't seem to have affected it negatively, though it does have some creases in it that you can see if you're looking at them. The rug is super soft with a plushy, padded feeling to it when you step on it. It is light weight and very thin but it is attractive. Our office chair is able to roll over it with no issues, the wheels don't drag or get caught at all. Also it measures at 5'×8.5', not 5'×8'. This wasn't an issue for us and not a huge difference, but if someone has a specific space picked out for it, give it a little leeway with measurements.

It’s unbelievably soft and very lightweight - for the price it’s a great value. It is hard to clean so keep that in mind - it’s best in low traffic areas. I have it in front of my bed in my room and it’s just so nice to walk on getting in and of bed. Like I said, you simply can’t beat it for the price - it’s very pretty and shaggy. Update - all things considered (ie 3 dogs…yeah, that’s pretty much sums up the considerations), for the price - I will totally be buying this rug again soon. One thing I will note, and hopefully this will extend the life of someone else’s rug (at the expense of mine ;) when it is necessary to clean this rug, do so very very gently. And when I say gently, I mean do not use any type of carpet cleaning machine on this rug it is not designed for this. I may have made this mistake in my hard headed insistence upon doing things my way… As a result, and to my absolute in utter dismay there was suddenly a hole in my beloved rug. Related to rest and I am considering another one but it’s still too soon.
