After installing the pump, I couldn't get the air out of the lines. I hooked up the trailer to a city water supply and oueged all the lines. It still will not build pressure. It's past the return window or I would return it. Any ideas will be appreciated. I would like to give it 5 stars if I could get it to work. THis is a basic diaphragm pump that is useful for RV/spray purpose. It comes on automatically, and shuts off automatically when the right pressure is reached. I use it as a pump for the rain barrel water - its good enough ... better than having to fill the water into watering cans and then manually water. Even if you don't hook it up to a hose, then fact that there is a pump makes getting water from the rain barrel a lot faster ... and more enjoyable. The setup you have depends on what you have. Very nicely it comes with a bnch of adapters. For the price, and if you have a camper or just want a pump to get pressure for water - example a shower in the wild, this is really useful. I placed this about five feet above a water source, just to see what it could do. It didn't take long to prime and flow water. I measured about 2 gallons per minute at a five foot height with an old automotive battery at about 11.5 volts, similar to what might be found on a tow-behind spraying apparatus. This pump does run noticeably better with a solid 12 volt power supply, but it worked just fine slightly undervolted. Once installed on a machine, it produced fully adequate pressure through a small diameter hose over 100 feet long, while shutting off when not in use. The pump it's replacing has a tendency to keep running intermittently, regardless of whether there is demand. This pump moved about a half gallon per minute through the 100-foot hose, which is a bit more than expected. This pump uses a small fraction of the electricity required by another setup, and is also much quieter and safer. It's also much easier to use than the large electric motor turning a pump with a belt. The self-priming ability of this pump is appreciated. ... show more
