Impressive little kit! To be fair, I had low expectations for something priced as low as this was. When I opened the box I was a tad bit underwhelmed with everything. The dog house pieces looked a little flimsy but as I put it together, my views changed for the better. The pieces fit together quite nicely. The screws included actually did what they were intended to do and as I screwed each piece together, the sturdiness of the dog house increased 10 fold. By the time I was at the end of the installation, I was already tossing this dog house around and it was rock solid putting on the final touches. This house could easily take a basketball to it and not fall apart. (I'm sure your dog wouldn't be happy being inside at the time though). If I could go back and buy it again I would have no reservations whatsoever. If I had to try to find a negative just to be fair, I would maybe say that it came with extra screws which made me panic thinking I forgot something. So now I know, count your parts before you start! (or in this situation, count your blessings they gave you a few extra screws in case you lost one!) :)

For my purposes this is great. It’s not sturdy or insulated like an igloo. Which I have. I am using this in an inside dog kennel It’s not out in the elements. I like the pitched roof. My one dog can’t climb on it. If you follow instructions it’s easy to put together. Put the roof together first. Make sure all parts are together tight. You might have to tap them together to get a tight fit Can be tricky to assemble. My Roof didn’t want to snap together right. I finally got it to I would not recommend this outside. In extremely cold temps. If you dog is outside a lot. If this doghouse is insulated it’s not much. It does give your dog shelter It’s good for the price. I have a couple of very insulated doghouses and payed over 300.00 for them.

I really like this product. The only thing I’d change is that it’s a bit difficult to assemble and disassemble. As far as like it’s not that simple to just snap the pieces in place. For example, it’s supposed to be easy to take off the roof to clean the dog house out; Let’s just say I cleaned out my dog’s house a few weeks ago and now the roof won’t latch back. So now I just have to position it to where she doesn’t get wet or air doesn’t get in. So I feel like it’s probably just a performance issue. Overall it’s doing what it’s supposed to do and my dog loves it!

Edited: 3 stars added for excellent customer service by the company. They contacted us immediately to rectify. However this doghouse was difficult to put together. Consider other models. Original (also edited) review: The model we purchased has the “off center” entrance doorway and 2-sized sloped roof. Absolutely impossible to snap on the vented roof. If you get one side on it will pop out as soon as you try to secure the other side. I’ve spent 2 hours on the roof alone - we are considering crazy glue and/or screws at this point. It also does not “seal” well, as others have mentioned. Even with a rubber mallet. I got this for inside our chicken run so leaking shouldn’t be a problem, but this is cheaply made and not suitable for larger/heavier animals. I spent a lot of time researching a house that would work for my chickens and their food/water in the winter. I liked that this was “off center” so more of them could fit inside, but this was a waste of time and money.

Got this dog house in started putting it together, I think I had a side that was warped cause it kept popping out when I was trying to put the front part on. I went ahead and put screws in to help keep it together, it seems to have gone together good and looks to be very sturdy at this time. Hence why I gave it a 4 star rating……….if the one side had gone on better I’d have given it a 5 star. I just need to find like a plastic door way to put on as we did get rain heavy rain and of course it got on the inside right in the front, the back was nice and dry. I got this for my feral cats to help keep them dry and warm. I think it was a good price for the dog house. It wasn’t that hard to put together except for the side that was warped a little bit.

I got this for inside my daughter's house when she's at work or out and he's in a very large pin the pin is large enough for a pee pad in case she gets home too late for him to go outside and it's enough room for him to play. The dog house sits at the opening of the dog pin she doesn't close the gate. She leaves the blinds open a little so he can look out a window on a high bed thingy then places his sleeping bed inside dog house. It took him about two weeks to go inside and now he sleeps in it when she's not home. The dog house is so light to carry and he loves it so when they're in another room they get the dog house and he goes in it when he feels like it.

Extra screws, gloves and screw driver included! My pup is 10 mo old and growing. It's hard to find one big enough. It's easy to assemble. I'm 66 and assembled by myself. It feels flimsy while putting it together and I was doubtful! But once it's all together and screws in, it's fine. My dog is a livestock guardian, doesn't need insulation, he likes the cold but this keeps him dry. It's right by the chicken coop so all it's well!

The quality is good water leaked in when it rained. Easy to assemble once you figure roof out. Size is larger than expected. Screws assembled easy. Good value.. would buy agian.
