  • Great Chair. Terrible Customer Service.
Color: Dark Brown
Here's a story about desperation, unnecessary heartache, confusion, and feeling like a total ding dong. My father in law had a stroke. He can no longer stand on his own and can barely walk. He needed a reliable lift chair. His cheap hand me down broke, a very expensive one he purchased outright from a rent to own place was not even close to his dream chair and after shattering our relationship with this store, they finally agreed to give him his money back and pick up the lift chair. After I raised hell with this company, I knew I had to act fast. They were coming to get his lift chair on Monday. I found this recliner and it was supposed to be delivered on Wednesday. Things were going well. Dad doesn't know anything about shopping online. I do. A couple days without a chair would be okay. This would be perfect. The rent to own place takes their chair back, and I reassure them that this chair will.... oh no... not be delivered for a week and a half past the day I told them because Amazon changed the delivery date. Dad is already watching TV in an uncomfortable wheel chair. How do I even begin to say this news? By busting out sobbing first, of course! I was absolutely heart broken. After two phone calls praying and begging people to please help us because at this point my father has already fallen on the floor trying to stand multiple times and the nursing home is already trying to take him, I finally get told that the chair is going to be there... on Wednesday like originally stated! What can I do with this excellent news?.. absolutely sob of course! I am watching the tracking every step of the way. I go over to my parents house around 6pm with my little kids because UPS should be here by now....I haven't heard anything about it being delivered. 7:30 pm rolls around. I call UPS. Desperate for them to deliver this chair. My kids are destroying the house and we are exhausted. UPS tells me the delivery time was extended to 10pm by the drivers.. time to sob again. Then I see them coming down the driveway before I hang up the phone! Time to cry for joy again. I tear into the packaging and I see a broken piece of plastic in the box. You have got to be kidding me. Okay. Let's put this together. Maybe it is just a piece that keeps it from sliding on the floor. It's fine. No it's not. The back won't slide down and connect to the base. It flips back and won't stay up. After everything- the chair shows up broken. Time to sob and call Amazon. Again. My parents live in the woods and need a new router for their internet. I got one from Verizon and it still hasn't come in the mail yet. I call Amazon to see if I can get a replacement piece for this chair and I get told I have to be texted or emailed... I have no service and no internet. How am I suppose to verify my account? Oh. I can't. So of course.. I begin to sob. Again. Why can't this go right?! Realize the router I ordered also came with the box! The woman with Amazon stayed on the phone listening to me cry and setting up internet. She verifies my account. And no. There's nothing we can do tonight because this company wasn't accepting customer service calls anymore. Go to the bathroom, realize aunt flo came and that's why I'm being extra psycho and cried every last drop of hydration out of my body in the past two days. Makes sense. Leave the house feeling like a failure. Amazon lady is super nice and we have similar woman issues. She understands. We become bestfriends and are laughing and want to eat chocolate bars by the end of it. I take the back off the chair so no one sits down and falls backwards. I was so defeated. I continue to search online for countless hours. I need to figure out what this piece of this chair is that broke. I only want this replacement piece shipped super fast. I don't want a whole new chair. I watch every unboxing video, assembly video, Google search every wording I can think of to find this piece that broke. I explain to this sweet woman that it looks like a Tie Fighter from Starwars. Taught her what a Starwars was and she Googled a tie fighter. Continued to giggle. But she admits she is obsessed with this piece of plastic we can never see that is vital to the operation of this chair. It is non functional and will not go together. We order a replacement chair. There seems to be no other options. I call this company for the 4th time after sending them an email. The wonderful Amazon woman, Naz, has also been trying to call him. (I begged her to stay with me through this whole process and she even worked extra hours for me. She's a real angel. I believe it.) A man finally answers. I explain to him everything. He tells me he cannot see this tie fighter plastic piece in the instructions. (Pretty sure he didn't know what a tie fighter was, anyway tbh.) I get no answers. He proceeded to tell me he cannot figure out what this important piece of plastic is and why this chair will not go together without it. Then it hit me. This black piece of plastic isn't supposed to be here. I left the little black piece of broken plastic that was stuck on the metal slide part because I kept trying to piece back together the tie fighter and get it back on the chair... it was over it like a sleeve after the tie fighter broke. It needed to come off. Oh my Lord. This had to be a packing insulation piece to keep the metal rods safe from bending during shipping. I ask the guy. He has no idea. Ask if anyone does. No. Later I send my husband to their house to look at this chair. I had a gnarly medical procedure done today and I cannot. Patiently I wait to hear anything. Indeed. I couldn't put the chair together because this entire time I was trying to piece back together a packing spacer and put it back on the chair when all I needed to do was take the rest of it off. IT BROKE. It literally did it's job and I just couldn't let it go. The chair is working miraculously. Dad loves it. This is the Rolls-Royce this old man deserves. His health is not doing well and this is the last recliner I think he will ever sit in. I would do it all over again, because he deserves a heated massage. I can't believe the company itself couldn't figure out that there was a packing spacer in this box. I can't believe it took me so long to figure it out. I can't wait for Naz to call me back so she can drop this mystery that perplexed us for so long. Kind of sad it will be over, though. Her customer service was beyond fantastic. Super grateful. Because the customer service from Yitahome was not great. Just know- the tie fighter- broken or not- does not belong in the construction of this chair. ... show more

  • Comfortable and very quiet chair
Color: Brown
The lift chair/recliner I am very pleased with. The purchase process between the Seller, Amazon, and FedEx, not so much. Conflicting tracking status information from the seller, Amazon, and FedEx and extended delivery time almost made me cancel the order. As for the chair, I bought it primarily to replace and older and larger leather recliner/lift chair yes, it is smaller than other chairs, but exactly what I was looking for. Easy to assemble, I almost missed the instruction manual which was packed in the bottom of the chair. No problems assembling once I found the booklet. I was surprised and pleased regarding how quiet the lift motor is. Much quieter than the other two chairs we have. It is lighter weight than my other chairs, don't know how it will hold up over the years, but it was also ma y hundreds of dollars cheaper. Someone mentioned they thought the massage and heat functions were weak. I did not notice that. The massage and heat are adjustable. Now the massage is pretty loud and rough, but this under $500 chair is not in the same class as my $8,000 Sogno massage chair so I am not complaining at all. I like the chair, the two cup holders and the two charging ports, although I have only had this for a few weeks, at the moment I would buy it again. ... show more

  • YITAHOME Lift Recliner AJAGS-V1
Color: Dull Grey
Quick shipping. Chair is in kit form: Chair Base and 1 arm in larger heavy box and backrest and 2nd arm in smaller lighter box. Easy to assemble. lift recliners were required for elderly people, All functions work as advertised. Note that the chair has to be a good distance from the wall when reclining, not like the wall-hugger of our old non-lift recliners. The cup holders are not a plus but are convenient to hold the controls. The vibration and heat features may be a plus for some people but not for us. But they are there should we need them. I tried to cancel order on 2 chairs shortly after ordering them but Amazon said that it was too late and to refuse delivery. However UPS just dropped 4 Large boxes at door and I had no chance to refuse them. I decided to keep them and had them assembled. It would have only cost $12.95 per chair to return them. Also note that Amazon prints out 1 shipping label per chair (1 of 1) instead of 2, one for each box. If you decide to return purchase contact Amazon to address the labels (UPS will bring labels but they must know that 2 are required for each chair. I am pleased with them and I decided to keep them because now I am done and I no longer have to deal with delays in finding other needed chairs. I need to add a comment after using the chairs (I bought 2). I and my wife have used the vibration and heat features and found them very useful. The features do help relieve back pain. Fortunately we haven't needed the Lift feature yet but soon enough it will be required. We like the chairs. ... show more

  • Bought this for Dad
Color: Grey
Pleasantly surprised by all the features, Bought this on Amazon Prime day so it was a good deal too. When it arrived it had an array of settings in terms of heating pad, massaging and chair lift. Impressed. Improvements that could be made... I noticed when my dad got out of the chair he put his hands on the arms of the chair and lifted himself out. I noticed the arms of the chair wiggled under the pressure of his weight. I know over time this will get worse. If anything the chair is designed to lift the person out out of it, it is not designed for you to lift yourself out of the chair. But as long as Dad is happy I am happy. ... show more

  • Durability
Color: Dark Brown
Got this for my elderly mother. She loves it. I can’t get her out of it. She has a hard time with her knees so the stand up remote is a life saver. Then to use the remote to put the feet up. Amen I no longer have to do it. It goes back to she can lay down and sleep. Vibrates in her legs for her lymphedema. Which has helped tremendously. Then the cup holders prevent her from spilling. Then the charger cord. Wow. I bought her a universal one so it has all kinds of ends so she can charge anything she has. For the price of chair you can’t find no where else. ... show more
