I was able to put it together in a few minutes, alone. I haven’t tested it in the rain yet, so I can’t speak to it being completely waterproof, but it’s together and looks great on the deck. We purchased the 150 gal white storage container. When I was unpacking the pieces and taking them back to my deck, I was happy with the double sided thickness. The panels were sturdy, and did not bow or warp at all as handled. So far so good. Got out the directions. They were total crap! Barely indicated what you had to do. Just basic pictures. But screws all fit, no hardware missing. Even included a cheap screwdriver. Now came the fun part. Under the cautionary statement on the first page, it says “align the holes before assembly and snap into place (the tabs) with a slight tap”. My hubby is a 44 year career engineer, and had issues. The directions say “note that the front and back of part D, which is the bottom piece, are different, so pay close attention during installation “. Well, the piece is clearly marked “inside “ but we could tell no difference at all in the front or back edge. We finally took a shot and lined it up so you could read the word “inside” as you would open the lid. We guessed correctly! Then, we started tapping the tabs into the slots . Well, we tried. A couple popped right in, but with way more than a “slight tap”. After cracking a couple tabs, we stepped back and looked over the situation because I was aggravated that the tabs were breaking. At my suggestion, we flipped the box over, and tried tapping in the tabs from the BOTTOM of the box! Worked perfectly! No more broken ones. I was so miffed that I would have sent it back at this point, except we damaged it assembling, and those good ‘ole directions say that “once installed, the product cannot be detached”. Oh, great. So all in all, we have a very sturdy box, assembled, with some cracked tabs that don’t seem to be much of an issue, yet, that looks very nice. But they absolutely have to do something about improving the directions, like adding WRITTEN instructions and tips on better assembly procedures! I despise following assembly to the letter and damaging the product in the process! Ridiculous For what we paid!

Wasn't sure what to expect, but this was a pleasant surprise. Unit is well built and sturdy. Hasn't rained yet so I can't say for sure that it's waterproof, but the lid fits over the sides and there is no obvious way for it to leak. Unless you put it somewhere that it stands in more than an inch of water. Assembly is mostly very simple. The instructions are generally very good and everything fit perfectly. Two things could have been better. The instructions refer to the top/bottom and side panels by letter but the panels are not marked. The sides and top are obvious because of the screw holes for the hinges. The bottom is not. I had to guess which direction was the front, which is odd because the instructions make a point that it will only fit one way. The word "Inside" was molded into the top side of the bottom panel, so it would have been a simple matter for them to also mark "Front" or include an arrow or something. The front and back panels are each attached to one of the sides with a sort of hinge (just plastic that runs the width of the panel and folds). There are tabs in the front/back and sides that insert into the bottom and click into place. The first panel is easy because you can angle it to get the tabs to fully insert, but the rest have to be pushed in perpendicular and that proves a little difficult. They advise you to use a rubber mallet and that did help because you have to drive it in a bit and a steel hammer could damage the panels. I wound up using a wide putty knife tapped into the slot in the bottom to get the tab to fully insert, then used my body weight to push down and get it to snap into place. Worked fine. All in all, just a few minor things, none of which proved insurmountable. Again, very sturdy, and I would buy another product from this company at this point without hesitation.

I bought two of these and set them up no issue, decently sturdy benches and relatively easy set up. However, we ended up needed a third, so we purchased another from the same account/seller. This one arrived with multiple cutout holes for assembly in the wrong/opposite sides, as well as an armrest that was completely unglued/not secured in any way. The first two boxes had instructions and all tools needed. This box had none. You may get a dud!

I was initially impressed with the quality of these deck boxes and I now own five of these 90 gallon check boxes, bought between 2024 and 2026. I have a 31 gallon, and a 230 gallon also. The 31 gallon is a waste of money because it's flimsy, a single layer plastic with plastic cover where the tabs holding the cover in place broke very quickly. The cover is more of a detached lid now. This breakage happened shortly after owning it. The 230 gallon holds a lot but has a slight warp where there's always a puddle on top after rain. Regarding the 90 gallon deck boxes specifically: one of these boxes, I took sealant and sealed up all the edges from the inside because it was leaking. All six [1-230 gallon, 5-90 gallon] are double layered which make the product that much more sturdy. I shopped by that feature this last time when I bought three of them. I purchased the most recent three in March because of a sale and we did not put them together until the end of May. I had no place to put them and I already had older deck boxes packed with stuff that was going to go into the new ones. One of them cracked near the back hinge - no use, no one sitting on the cover. Customer service emails have been a waste of effort. They offer you $35 to get it fixed on your own, you respond, then in the next day's email they offer you $45 instead of the $35, then the day after they offer you 50% which because they were on sale is less than the $45, then they want you to still have the shipping box which according to the law is not required because it's the product that's warrantied, for the one year, not the box. They try to make it sound as if they will not cover anything not from them directly but Amazon is an authorized dealer of theirs. So basically, when you buy from Yitahome inspect for damage right away - look to see how warped the cover is because no amount of blow drying attempts gets some of the warps out and realize that they make you jump through hoops and do not honor their warranty.
