We have a pantry moth problem. We had been using the parallel horizontal wire rackets to hunt them, but decided to give these a try. I set these up in three rooms, and our bathroom went from 1 moth per cubic foot of space to single digit moths overnight. Its wide grid on either side of tight grid design makes it superior for active use in addition to its capability as a passive turret. Hearing the pops and cracks of bug death throughout the house throughout the day brings me great peace. Unfortunately the decline of the moth population gave rise to a housefly population boom, which the product is not as good at killing passively. But still, having these at hand is what allows us to walk through our own house without bumping into flying insects anymore. None have broken yet with extensive use plugged in and turned on, and if you keep one turned off, the battery seems to last indefinitely. They do get quite dirty, but anything that affects performance burns away automatically.

OK so I have this property with a LONG dirt driveway. I like to walk it each day, but depending on the time of year I get attacked by either horseflies, mosquitoes, or these weird bee-like flies. I used to cover up from head to foot ... but now I just carry this and leave the thing ON. If I feel buzzing around my head or ankles, I just wave it around until the bugs fly into it. If they just graze it, they get stunned and wiggle on the ground for awhile, not dead. If they hit it hard, loud snap crackle, pop! And if they get STUCK in it ... OMG it roasts them. You can see smoke rising and the smell of burnt insect flesh! And for a real boost, the thing will dissect them into body parts!! Highly recommend!!! But only for those that friggin HATE flying pests!

I live in North Carolina and walk twice a day in the woods behind our house. Gnats come out in force during the summer, and because we've had an unusually wet spring, they are worse than ever this year. In addition to having an uncanny ability to find just my ears versus any other part of my body, and apparently immune to any type of repellant, I got this bug zapper as a last resort. It is awesome. I just finished my fist afternoon walk with it, and there are a whole lot of those little suckers that won't be going home tonight. Highly recommended.

This is not the best version, this one plugs into the handle which is a hassle, the best version plugs into the base so you can grab it and go. It sounds like a small difference, but when you are in a big damned hurry to swat something it makes a big difference.

I love this thing. It does make a snapping sound when a bug flys in and kills its self. I don't have to wave it around, just prop it up near by and the insects go straight to it and don't come anywhere near me. Worth every dollar. I do not want to be without one. I'm 77 and have goats. I'm on a walker and can no longer walk out to pasture my goats. I have been taking my car to the pasture to watch them graze and got eaten alive by bugs, but not any more. I haven't had a single bite or sting of any kind since using this zapper, not even a gnat. They fly into my car and straight to the zapper propped between the console and dash.

I have this in my room, and they buy fly to it and not me best thing I got so I don't get bit by mosquitos I have it on 24/7 since I got it and has not stop working when if I need another one, I'll get this again. plugged in and ser to stay on even in the day this still zapping bugs and at night it is loud pop so if you are a light sleeper don't keep it close to the room that thing scares me some time when I'm awake, but I like that it works grate

These are awesome. I love that. I can turn them on and set them in their stand and they will attract insects like a regular bug zapper. When you swat a bug with these, it makes a resounding crack. These things have really got some power. If we get a pesky gnat or mosquito in the house, I take one of these inside and set it on the counter at night and our little visitor is gone by the next morning.

This is so worth the money!! I should have bought 2! It gets those annoying gnats and mosquitoes. I get such great satisfaction from hearing them getting zapped from this swatter. I love that it’s rechargeable as well and you don’t have to replace batteries all the time. It also lasts for a long time. I’ve had this on for several hours and it is still almost fully charged.
