Got this for my 11 year old nephew that plays the alto sax and he loves this neck strap. He has had two other neck straps that were either too hot and sweaty or uncomfortable because they were too wide... this one however, he loves because it does not get the back of his neck hot and sweaty, it is "super comfortable" because it is just the right width so that it does not pinch the back of this head or his upper back when he looks up. It is not a long strap though, so I'm not sure it would work for an adult... but it will be some time before he gets there. ... show more

This strap is better in several ways than the one that came with my Akai EWI 4000s: 1. Overal construction is heavier and more durable. Padding is thick and comfortable. Length is easy to adjust And most importantly there is a latch that keeps the instrument securely in place instead of the open hook on the original which always seemed a little scary. ... show more

Simple and useful design. Good quality materials that seem durable. Strap is strong and does not stretch. The strap sleeve that goes on the back of the player's neck is well cushioned and the side that touches the skin is cotton like material so it does not promote sweating. The plastic buckle to adjust length works nicely and easily. Strong metal hook with a rubber sleeve on the part of the hook that touches the saxophone. Very good value. ... show more

The strap is fairly wide, with no hardware to dig into skin. Daughter gives it 5 stars for comfort, much better than the leather & string strap that came with her alto.
