  • Value DMR Optic
Style: BDC-B1 Reticle | Black
It has a decent eyebox, set it up right and you can easily and naturally fall into the spot in 1x.10X has a brutal eyebox but a clear picture and if you position it and your stock right you won't LOSE it during transition. Functionally its position sensitive but clear if set up right. And it is not much darker than your environment so at minimum it works at night. At 200-220 dollars its ... hard to argue with value wise. It's in the sig tango 1-6 territory in terms of 1-6 capability with an option to go ever farther out built in for free or evem a discount depending on what they go for today. ... show more

  • Rock solid scope!
Style: BDC-B1 Reticle | Flat Dark Earth
I couldn’t be more impressed with this scope. From the moment I mounted it, it’s proven to be durable, reliable, and extremely well-built. I’ve put it through rough conditions, bumps, recoil, and it still holds zero perfectly every time. The reticle is bright and crisp,Whether I’m at the range or out in the woods, this scope performs like a high-end optic at a great value. ... show more

  • Great for the money. BDC needs a reboot.
Style: BDC-B1 Reticle | Black
The Good: Surprisingly clear glass in the center. A true 1x for both eyes open use. Nice reticle illumination that doesn't flare or bleed into the image. Integrated throw lever is a nice touch. Included mount seems reasonably solid to be a packaged mount. I didn't box test it, but the turrets tracked well enought to have me zeroed in three shots at 50 yards. The Bad: Not terribly heavy, but much heavier than advertised. I weighed the scope at 19.4 ounces and 22.8 ounces with the mount. Eye relief is a ridiculous 5", making the eye box unecessarily critical, as is the eye relief. If you think need 5" of eye relief, you instead need to fit your gun to you, learn how to hold a rifle, or you are shooting a lightweight ultra magnum and this cheap scope is a bad choice for that kind of rifle. The biggest negative is the "BDC" reticle. I tested this on a 20" AR, firing factory fiocchi 55 grain FMJ at 3008 fps (average of 15 shots). I zeroed at 50 yards. The first stadia was dead on at 300 yards, but the 400 yard stadia is only 2 moa below the 300 yard stadia, so the "400 yard" stadia was actually dead on at 364 yards. The "500 yard" was on at 439 yards. "600 yards" was on at 518 yards. "700 yards" was on at 600 yards. The tip of bottom vertical crosshair that extends from the base of the image was dead on at 700 yards. Obviously this makes the stupidly bad subtension design ineffective if you plan to just hold at those distances and trust the reticle to get you close. I know these are cheap optics made in China, but even a rudimentary grasp of ballistics (and thus basic math) could have been employed to at least get the stadia close to their designated distances. No ballistic reticle is always going to be dead on. Even if you had one custom made for your rifle and load, changing weather would make it vary measurably out to longer distances, but at least they could have copied another companies subtensions. It's not like math is copywritten. Final Thoughts: This optic is surprisingly good in almost every way. I bought it used for $130 and am very happy with it for the price. Even at the $199 amazon price it is a steal. Just keep in mind that you will have to actually test the reticle to see where it hits with your rifle before using it to hunt or compete. I can forgive the crazy long eye relief and wonky subtensions given that the glass is really usable, the illumination is quite decent, the controls move and function as they should, and the price is fantastic. I bought this for use on a compact .22 caliber pcp air rifle, where it performs quite well. I wouldn't suggest this scope for a rifle used for serious competition or a big game hunt, but I only say that because there are much better options (that also cost a lot more). For an inexpensive plinking rifle you can certainly do a lot worse. ... show more

  • Received Damaged Product
Style: MX1 Reticle | Flat Dark Earth
This item was delivered with the following imperfections, as seen in the attached photos. Serious moisture damage inside/behind the lenses, visible at both ends. I have purchased this brand before. Usually this brand is 5 star performer. Hopefully this is an anomaly.

  • Great investment in my shooting tools.
Style: MX1 Reticle | Black
This thing is solid. Have several Monstrum scopes and they are all great. Really good glass !! Eye relief is excellent on all of my scopes. How many of us have several thousand dollars laying around to pay for a big name. Not me. Monstrum is a great product for precision or hunting. I highly recommend you give one of their scopes a try, you won't come away disappointed. ... show more

  • Its good for the price and who made it. Holds zero.
Style: MX1 Reticle | Flat Dark Earth
For the price point you can't beat it. Mine worked good but it's Chinese made so your experience may very. I got mine on sale so if your paying over 170 just go with primary arms. The illumination is great. Glass is.....ok again it's better then 99% of the Chinese sights I've seen. I'm giving it 4 stars main based on quality to price comparison. ... show more
