Although these sunglasses are photochromic, they just do not get dark enough to be effective on a bright sunny day. I was wearing them yesterday at a football game facing towards the sun, and I had to squint the whole time. These photochromic glasses are really for a cloudy or partly cloudy day, when you are driving or biking, to cut down on the glare. For that, they work great. I wanted a lighter lens that is polarized, since most others are too dark if the light is lower. These seem to work with glare, but the sun is pretty bright thru them. For me, it seems Im out of focus looking thru these. Might be me. Good value for the money and u get what you pay for.

I have been looking like crazy for glasses like these. I hike and sometimes deep in the woods or on cloudy days , my regular sunglasses are too dark.. these sunglasses can be used in all conditions. I’ve even gone into a store with them on and I don’t realize that I have sunglasses on. a great find. They are comfortable. When I am finished, I put them back in their case.
