When it came to using the glasses, I loved them. It connected to my phone and played all it's audio from it and it had its own AI (Though it felt not as sophisticated as some of the AI chat bots but that could have been my signal that night) that would answer questions or do commands for me. I think its so sick. My only hiccup with the glasses was the battery life. I took them to Halloween horror nights and it they died within 4 hours. Luckily they charged decently fast and I was able to charge them throughout the lines. That was with basically constant recordings though the quality of the images was fantastic. Personal note though, I have bangs (kinda) and sometimes the camera would be blocked by my hair so be aware of that.

I bought the Meta Ray-Ban (2nd Generation) smart glasses with Transition lenses and ended up pretty disappointed with the overall quality. For the price — around $500 — I honestly expected much more. The only real strong point is the video quality in good lighting. In bright daylight, videos look sharp and clean. Photos also look great when lighting is ideal. However, as soon as the light drops even slightly, the video quality becomes very poor — it feels like something recorded on an old phone from the early 2000s. I did enjoy the built-in speakers — it’s convenient to walk around listening to music or taking calls without earbuds. That’s a nice feature. But the Transition lenses are very weak in real sunlight — the darkening effect is minimal and doesn’t really provide proper sun protection. The build quality is also disappointing. The glossy coating scratches extremely easily. When folded, the arms touch each other, and my glasses started getting scratched within just two weeks of normal use. Battery life is another big downside. When recording video — especially in 3K — the battery drains very fast. I constantly have to put them back into the case to recharge, which is very inconvenient when you spend a lot of time outdoors. The built-in AI feature feels completely useless to me — it doesn’t add any real value to daily use and seems like an unnecessary gimmick. Also, the lack of a pause function when recording video is very frustrating. If you need to stop for a moment, you have to end the recording completely and start a new clip. Later, when the videos sync to the phone, all those small clips have to be found and manually stitched together — and sometimes they don’t even upload in the correct order, which only adds more hassle. Overall, I’d rate these glasses a 3 out of 5. The idea is great, but for such a high price the quality, durability, battery life, lens performance, and software features should be significantly better.

This should come with a label saying most functions not available in all countries. Purchased thinking there was a visual display. My bad for assuming. They are just nice sunglasses with a meta AI built in. Best functions would be the camera and handsfree recording. The image quality is great and I love the convenience. The cost not so much but hey, you are paying for the brand. Highly recommend for the avid photo taker or active vlogger. These are pretty good for that purpose.

Works great for in the car hands free. Quality is good if it connects, advanced features require the app which is very invasive with permissions and needs work. AI is pretty censored for things I wouldn’t expect. Unless you get transition lenses you’ll be the cool guy wearing sunglasses indoors and talking to yourself….
