Item: YI 40” 3-Tier Barrel Garden Water Feature Price: N/A at time of review – Item not available at this time The YI 40” 3-tier barrel water feature/fountain, while not showing on the original vendor page, has had its place evidently filled by a 2-tier barrel design which is nearly identical, excepting for its only having two buckets. The 3-tier definitely makes a marked size-difference. And I prefer the larger design. Construction of either the 2 or 3 barrel water feature is the same. In my video you’ll see there are few parts. The only moving part to this or other water fountains is the pump. And that item can easily be replaced; sourced from Amazon. However, I’ve had a traditional water fountain with a similar pump and it’s been in uninterrupted ‘12-hrs. on and 12-hrs. off’ service for 5-years. In assembly with the three barrels and the three half-covers was a slight mismatching when screwing the ‘half covers’ onto the top rim of each barrel. I had to push on the barrel to ‘force-align’ the somewhat pliable barrel. The other issue was figuring out which hose section was intended for which barrel. They’re not marked in any way, so I presumed all three were of equal length. But they’re not. I took the shortest tube and started at the bottom using that one. Ironically, the last tube left had to be cut. It has to be shoved into the faux hand-pump at top. I carefully figured out that taking about two inches or so would prevent it from kinking when pushed in below. Other than that, it only took twenty minutes or so to screw-assemble it. I built and tested the fountain in an open tiled area prior to us deciding on a permanent placement. After assembly I allowed the bottom bucket to fill within 5-inches from the top rim. I then quickly filled the middle and top bucket to their spill point. Overall, it’s one of the more simple water feature designs as you can easily access the pump. You can also, as I plan on doing, place a plastic screen just below the water level to easily remove leaves and debris. Overall, I like the design and can live with the plastic construction. I thought about making my own bucket water feature. But at its price point, I can see the DIY approach would be about as costly. After final placement I realized just how nice it was and bumped my rating from 4 to 5 stars. We do like what it's added to our backyard. ... show more

The YI 40-Inch 3 Tier Barrel Waterfall Fountain Outdoor Water Fountains Barrel Wood came with all the pieces needed including one extra screw in case one is lost. (All you need is a Phillips screwdriver.) I also want to clarify, it is not wood but resin that looks like wood. It also comes with directions but they sure are lacking. The directions don't show a photo of step by step assembly, instead it comes with an illustration of the waterfall put together and the number of the piece. The instructions are written and confusing because of steps left out or descriptions that are not applicable to the pieces included. This is why I took a star off, not due to the waterfall itself. Step 1 of the directions are fine but step 2 are incomplete. When you turn the medium bucket upside down to screw the Large Panel on the bottom, make sure you run your pump electrical cord through the back of the panel (there is an indent there for the cord to run through so it doesn't get pinched) before you screw it down, otherwise, you will be taking it all apart to get your cord out the back of the waterfall. Step 3 (in part) said to connect the black side of the pipe to the motor pump. There is no black side on any of the pipes. All three pipes are clear. In the diagram of the pipes, it shows 2 pipes of one size and 1 pipe of a longer size however I received 2 pipes of one size and 1 shorter pipe. I don't know if this is an error or not but the short pipe is for the top bucket, use one of the other pipes for the pump. They are plenty long enough. I want to offer an assembly tip. When you are screwing the panels on the respective buckets, start at one end (there are only 4 screws for each) and work around it because you will need to push and pull to get the holes to line up. In other words, don't put the front two screws in and then try and do the back two or you will have a harder time to line them up. They line up much easier if you just go around the panel in order. Other than the directions, I put this together myself and I had no other problem with the waterfall. It looks fantastic! (It isn't in place since I need a short extension cord for outdoors but took photos of what it looks like running anyways.) I do love it! It will be a nice feature to brighten the dead corner of the patio. ... show more

Kind of reminds me of the old days especially with the rustic look and the flowing of the water. It is big and it has three buckets and the installation process was easy. I set it up within fifteen minutes and all I needed was to put the water in. It does need electricity. I set it up without any directions as that was just confusing me. I placed it in my front yard and I have gotten dozens of compliments from people who pass by.
