The mugs construction and design is very comfortable and durable, keeps hot liquids hot in my experience for a good 5-6 hours. I tend to “prep” my cup in the mornings before work, I’ll pour in some hot water to get up up in temp then pour in my tea. I don’t think there’s any science behind it but I’ve noticed to get an extra hour or 2 by doing that. Only 2 cons I would say would be the diameter is too wide so it doesn’t fit in a cup holder (my rig has a slit for mug holders) and you have to fill it a quarter inch shy from the top so it doesn’t spill out when you put the lid on. I love these mugs, they keep your drink very warm for a long time with the lid on. They are very comfortable in the hand. I have a cheaper version of this cup and the handle is not and big and it is not as comfortable to hold. The lid is nice and thick, easy to open to drink out of and the lid seals very well. The outside stays cool no matter how hot of a liquid you put in it, so that is a huge bonus as well. Only downfall is if you forget your drink somewhere around your house, you can't pop it in the microwave and warm it up. ... show more

I have owned Yeti brand cups since 2014 and they now are dishwasher safe! That is a big change in their design, but the reason I really like the product is that the contents will remain the temperature it was when it went into the cup. I am a slow coffee drinker and I do not like lukewarm coffee. When I put my coffee in my Yeti Coffee mug, the coffee remains warm until I have finished the cup. I have had other brands of insulated mugs and the coffee will cool off faster than with a Yeti that is the reason I will pay extra for this brand over the discounted brands because their products do not measure up. ... show more

I bought these for our home and for our family and definitely these are the best. We use them for hot drinks and the temperature really holds. The 14 oz are oversized so I returned them but absolutely love the 10 oz. I also bought the wine tumbler. In all I got12!!!
