This is a nice weight set for the money, especially considering how expensive free weights have become since Covid. My only complaint is uneven weight distribution of the plates. The handle is also more robust than a regular dumbbell which can make them difficult to hold for longer periods.

I received a dumbbell for 180 dollars. One. One adjustable dumbbell. Kind of stupid and pointless as a lot of dumbell exercises require two dumbbells. So I guess I'll sit and stare at it looking at all the exercises I can't do for 180 dollars.

I was looking to buy the Bowflex SelectTechs for my home workouts, but couldn't get over the price. So what I did instead was purchased 3 sets of these 40 lb dumb bells. My mail carrier was displeased, but with shipping they cost me half of what the Bowflex SelectTechs would have. They may be a little bit less convenient from a set-up time aspect, but with 3 sets I can adjust them all before my workouts and not have to worry about changing things in between sets too much. I can also take the 5 lb weight plates from my two other sets of dumb bells and stack them on the handles I'm using for added weight. In comparison to other reviews: There was no foul oder coming from these as other customers have said, just a little bit of grease on the plates themselves. Nothing a little water and soap can't fix. No problems with paint peeling either. The seller also supplied rubber washers to keep the caps from unscrewing during odd angle lifting. On a side note, the plates on these can also be used on any 1 inch curl bar, which makes life a lot easier for me. They definitely make my workouts better because of the weight variety and they also make my wallet very happy.

I bought the 55# set of 2 dumbbells and one was missing a bolt and it came apart. I tried to contact the seller but phone doesn’t work, and web page doesn’t exist. I’m seriously considering returning these because is making wonder if there’s other things wrong with them. Which is a shame because I’ve been using them for 2 weeks and I really like them.
