Very handsome kitchen counter knife set. Wood block holder and knife handles were quality and quite attractive. Damascus steel pattern etched or stenciled somehow onto the stainless steel knife blades looked awesome in product photos, but appeared hilarious and kind of cheap in person upon arrival. Obviously the blades aren't Damascus Steel, they're far too bright and shiny. They arrived razor sharp though! Very well apportioned, well thought out, medium sized kitchen counter knife set. These are the sharpest knifes I have ever used. Barely brushing against the blade removing the plastic wrapper accidentally resulted in a pretty bad cut on my thumb. These knives command respect, always pay attention when you’re holding one. Aesthetically they look nice as well. These knives scare me a little as they are almost too sharp or maybe I am just used to having less sharp knives ? Recommend but be very careful. ... show more

The construction is nice, the hardwood handle is nice but small, and they are reasonably sharp, but the damascus pattern is a joke. The knives in all the photos look beautiful and I was hoping even if it wasn’t real damascus, it would at least look like that. They don’t. The pattern etching is cheap and terrible. The blades themselves too are all scratched up and don’t look new. I would take just plain stainless over these any day. Disappointed and will be returning them. ... show more

Blades are not Damascus steel. Just laser etched pattern. Angle of blade to the handle makes chopping awkward. Steak knives are not serrated. Knives are not full tang. Probably will dull quickly. Set Does not come with a sharpener.
