The product works fine but make sure not to wind the yarn to fast and keep a tight tension on the yarn. If you don’t, the yarn will get caught under the spin wheel thing

This product was very simple to set up and put together it took me a second to actually understand how to use it I have not had any issues with it apart from user error I absolutely love this product again I do have issues but there are issues that I caused and that can easily be fixed by myself I would suggest this to anyone who is trying to keep their yarn together and organized neatly and for anyone who wants to keep their yarn from tingling I absolutely love this ... show more

Definitely not the sturdiest product, but it gets the job done. I’ve found that it works best with smaller amounts of yarn. The yarn does get tangled in the gears fairly often and gets grease all over it. This could definitely be user error, but it can be really annoying.

Super easy to assemble & use. Kinda wobbly when mounted but not enough to be an issue. Comes with instructions but pretty self explanatory on how to assemble and use. The pics in the instructions are useless but easy enough to figure it out. You have to make sure there’s some tension in the yarn when using so cakes don’t turn out too loose and fall apart. I was able to make all of these yarn cakes while watching tv, prepped and ready to tuft today. I love this yarn ball thing and wish I would have purchased earlier. ... show more

I like it. :-) My first time using a ball-winder but it seems to work fine. It's hard to get it mounted tight enough that it doesn't wobble but I like to feed the yarn through my hand before it gets to the yarn holder/feeder part (to catch any knots and twists) so I just hold on to the yarn feeder with that hand to keep it steady. That said...winding my big skeins into the small cakes is AweSome (Game Changer!!) for use and storage. I'll probably invest in a bit nicer one when this one wears out. ... show more

    • I like this little machine.
At first I tried to use it without clamping it to the table and it worked okay. But when I clamped it to the table it was even better. Only thing is if you go to fast it starts getting tangled in the bottom of the machine. Just go slow and take your time, makes a nice ball from your yarn.
