The installation is not too bad EXCEPT that the instructions could be better - mostly in that the mounting screw length is not addressed. That's not just for this instruction either - I've replaced several other lights around the house and none of them address this issue when you are using a decorative cap nut that only has so many threads in it. I used to write work instructions in a factory so I finally gave in and edited a installation instruction so it says what it should have said (see image). I hope it helps someone else :-). The new lights are bright, they won't collect bugs like the old enclosed globes did, they are open at the bottom so I can replace a bulb without disassembly of something.
