    • Perfect to improve sound from TV speakers
Dialogue was difficult to hear through my 43 inch Samsung TV in the bedroom, so I bought this all in one soundbar. I could hear a marked improvement in sound clarity and particularly dialogue. I was a pleasantly surprised by the level of bass it has, although it won't rock the house. Used an optical cable and connection to the TV was a snap. Used the Yamaha remote for initial sound settings where I boosted both dialogue and bass As a bonus, I found that I can control it using an Xfinity remote which is super convenient. I had originally wanted the Bose TV Speaker, but couldn't justify spending $279. Picked up the Yamaha for $149 on sale on Amazon. For sound enhancement over regular TV speakers, it's a great deal.     • Excellent sound for it's size.
This is a quality sound bar even though small. Very easy to hook up and the sound is excellent with good options on the remote. Once I chose the sound quality I wanted with the remote I then connected the sound bar to my cable company's remote to turn off and on and control the volume. So everything is now operated from that one remote. It may seen a little expensive but I would highly recommend for any TV that's 43" or smaller. ... show more

This soundbar is an upgrade from old computer speakers. If you're looking for something compact and inexpensive, then this is a good choice for both a TV and a computer. Connections, operation are easy and straight forward. The sound is good, and the bass is adjustable via remote. The Bluetooth connectivity seems to be solid with no issues. The remote gives you complete control over what the bar can do. I've tried other much cheaper soundbars and that's exactly what I got, CHEAP in every respect. There is better soundbars out there and much more expensive, but for something affordable, with decent sound then this bar will fit the bill. ... show more

    • Sound quality is good for the size of the unit
The sound quality is surprisingly good for the size of the unit. My TV has rear-facing speakers which made audio (especially dialog) hard to hear. This sound bar is perfect for my needs. I really like the fact that you can connect via an ARC-compatible HDMI port and the TV controls it just like its internal speakers.     • Clear dialogue, finally!
We have a 42-inch TCL TV, and the sound quality is mediocre. Due to size, we looked for a small soundbar that wouldn't block the TV sensor. The Yamaha soundbar is nearly perfect, height-wise. We used a couple of pieces of wood to raise the TV a half-inch, and it worked. Also, we used a high-speed HDMI cable in the ARC HDMI jack on the TV. Like magic, the TV remote worked to control volume on the soundbar. Set up couldn't have been simpler! Worth the extra $$ to have a compact soundbar that works with a small TV. Great sound bar for the money. Nice full sound with good features & connection options. I returned a previous purchase due to horrible sound and this is so much better. it's like night and day.

    • A great soundbar with awesome sound!
I bought this Yamaha soundbar to go along with a 32" Samsung TV that we bought for my daughter for college. We have a larger Yamaha soundbar that we use with our 52" TCL TV, and it works great. My son and I connected it last night, and it was plug and play simplicity. This soundbar comes with an optical cable, so you don't have to buy one separately. Note- the optical cable comes with small, opaque plastic covers on each end of the cable. These need to be removed before you attach the optical cable to either the TV or the soundbar. All you have to do is plug the optical cable into the "TV" outlet on the back of the soundbar and into the "Optical audio" outlet on the TV, go to settings on your TV and select "Optical audio" on audio inputs, and you are all set to go- 5 minutes start to finish. (BTW- this speaker is also Bluetooth compatible; however, my Samsung TV does not support Bluetooth; hence the need for an optical cable). We watched "Shrek" online, and the sound quality of this soundbar as compared to the TV's built-in speakers is a night and day difference. Since the audio is as important as the video, you owe it to yourself to get a high quality soundbar. This Yamaha soundbar fits the bill perfectly. ... show more
