Description

Wolf Music Company is a small independent music store which means we dont keep guitars in a box in a warehouse. We open, inspect, test, photograph and display every instrument that we sell which allows us to capture the grain of the wood to help you make a decision while purchasing online. This also allows us to package the instruments more securely since often times manufacturers packaging is inadequate. In most cases the guitar in the photo is the one you will receive but from time to time we may have restocked an item or received more than one, so please message us if you have any requests or specifics. If the guitar is NOT on a wood wall its probably a stock photo, but send us a message and we can send a pic to you. Semi-Hollow Body What looks like a full acoustic guitar is actually a semi-hollow design with a center block located underneath the bridge to prevent feedback. SA2200 Pickups Humbucker type with Alnico V magnets. Three-point support system provides fine height adjustment between pickup and strings. Controls _ Front Volume _ Rear Volume _ Front Tone (Push-Pull Coil Split) _ Rear Tone (Push-Pull Coil Split) Bridge Precision design offers accurate height, tension and intonation adjustment.

  • The best Yamaha has to offer in 335 type guitar, and worth every penny.
Incredible guitar. Received in original factory packaging, no case. Arrived from east coast 2nd day air, thankfully undamaged. After small adjustments to fit my playing preferences, plays like butter. Highly resonant unplugged, and great, versatile sound from pickups. Spotless Japanese craftsmanship, ebony FB and frets are immaculate. Beautiful, light, resonant and worth every penny you spend on it. You will not be disappointed, especially for jazz, blues, funk and R&B. These guitars also maintain their value very well. ... show more

  • Beautiful Guitar
Background: I've been playing guitar for more than 30 years and have owned many during that time. I've also built 4 Strats and one Tele complete with special pickups and wiring mods. I'm very picky about my guitars. Fit, finish, sound, and even the case is important to me. On to my review. What I like: It is a beauty. The feel of the neck is hard to explain. Similar to my 98 American Deluxe Strat, but wider and much flater radius. Not a 59 shape, but not thin or thick. Just about right. Its very comfortable. Ebony board is very smooth. Didn't notice any flaws in the workmanship at all. Its not heavy, but has a weight that indicates quality. You just have to hold it once to feel this. Pickups. The jury is still out here. My 98 Ibanez Rg550 has V7/V8 pickups that smoke these. Many have said these pickups grow on you. We'll see. What I don't like: Mine did not come with a case. It was packed very well in the original box. Yes..its brand new. I can't believe a guitar this expensive didn't come with a case! At least a cheap gig bag? Nope! The frets are a bit sharp, but nothing like the EVH I saw at GC a few weeks ago with super sharp fret sprouts. Unplayable. Unless you want cutup hands! Action is a little high. I have not set this guitar up yet. Once thats done, it should really start to sing. I've always wanted a 335, but hated every Gibson I played. Thought about the Ibanez AS200, but quality was spotty, and the body and headstock just didn't excite me. Lastly, I've never read a bad review about this guitar. Everyone seems to love these(once their set-up right) and they are VERY hard to find at a good price and not made anymore. Yamaha said it cost too much to make the guitar. Sad. ... show more

  • Outstanding semi-hollow guitar~
Flawless construction and materials, exquisite tone, outperforms semi-hollows twice its price! Would've been nice to have had a case or a gig bag included at this price, but instrument was well-packed and arrived safely and without damage. Highly recommended!

  • A Masterpiece of Craftsmanship, Sound and Value
I recently purchased the Yamaha SA2200 Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar, and I couldn't be more thrilled with my decision. This guitar is a true masterpiece of craftsmanship and sound, delivering an exceptional playing experience. Build Quality and Design: The build quality is impeccable. The attention to detail in the construction is evident from the moment you pick it up. The beautifully crafted body, combined with the elegant inlays and flawless finish, makes it a visually stunning instrument. The semi-hollow body design not only looks great but also contributes to the rich, resonant tones. Playability: The neck is smooth and comfortable, making it a joy to play for extended periods. The action is set up perfectly out of the box, allowing for effortless fretting and fast, fluid movement up and down the neck. The guitar feels well-balanced, whether you're playing seated or standing. Sound Quality: The sound of the SA2200 is where it truly shines. The dual humbucker pickups deliver a wide range of tones, from warm and mellow to bright and cutting. The semi-hollow body adds a layer of depth and resonance that you just don't get with solid-body guitars. Whether you're playing jazz, blues, rock, or anything in between, this guitar handles it all with ease. The tonal versatility is simply outstanding. Versatility: One of the standout features of the SA2200 is its versatility. The coil-tapping function allows you to switch between humbucker and single-coil tones, expanding your sonic palette even further. This makes it a fantastic choice for gigging musicians who need to cover a variety of styles in one instrument. Overall: In summary, the Yamaha SA2200 is an exceptional semi-hollow body electric guitar that exceeds expectations in every aspect. It's a beautifully crafted instrument that delivers outstanding playability and a wide range of tones. Whether you're a professional musician or a serious hobbyist, this guitar is a fantastic addition to your collection. I highly recommend it to anyone in search of a high-quality, versatile, and visually stunning guitar. ... show more
