What an amazing value! Bought this for our 10 year old. I am a professional musician who makes a living with music - both gigging and teaching, and I can tell you that this package is a steal. The guitar looks great. It has a dual-humbucker pickup config, which is unparalleled at this price point. Like any guitar out of the box, you’ll want to get it set up and slap some new strings on it eventually, but it comes pre-stringed with a.backup set for string breaks. A setup involves taking it (or doing it yourself if you are a guitar tech) to a tech, having him file the frets down, adjusting the neck (needs to be done to every guitar no matter how expensive) and setting the action (how high the strings are off the neck). Once that is done, in the hands of a good tech, this thing will play like butter. I was equally surprised by the quality of the amp. Both the clean and distorted channel have a great tone for an amp of this size. It feels and sounds like a solid little practice amp and is perfect for a starter. The headphone jack is great for isolation and the single lo-high tone control is a decent little tone shaper. You can get anything from sparkle-clean tone to a slightly dirty blues tone (set the humbucker on the middle switch and put a little gain on the distorted channel), to a AC/DC type crunch to a full-on metal distorted tone. Very versatile. I shopped a great deal and had a specific budget to work with, and this guitar package, by far was the best value based on the 25 or so I evaluated from different manufacturers. No visible damage or defects noticed. Seems everything is tight and well put together. The IOS tuner app works well although there is only a single 1 star review on it and the main complaint was the free app costs too much!?! Ooook! I’d add a better review but Apple says since I’m on IOS 26 beta I’m not allowed to. All things considered I’m surprised this doesn’t sell for close to $300. If I have to leave a critique I’ll agree with others that pointed out the guitar strap quality worries me and I’ll be replacing it, but it really feels petty saying this. I would definitely recommend this to someone who is thinking about getting a guitar. The fact it’s from a known name brand is just icing on the cake. ... show more

I really like my new Pyle electric guitar kit. It came with everything I needed to get started as a beginner. The guitar feels solid, not cheap. I was afraid with the low price that it would be a toy or not durable, but since it arrived, all fears have subsided. The amp is very small but is actually pretty powerful for the size. Its perfect for me since I don't want to disturb my entire house as I find my way to being a real guitar player. My only complaint is the strap that comes with it. It is very thin where it connects to the guitar and I'm afraid it may snap, so I bought my own strap. Other than that, everything else is great. ... show more

The guitar has been great, comes with everything i need to get started with practicing as a beginner. Although the amp is kinda small, with the right settings there is a wide variety of great quality sounds to work with. The tuner works pretty well and after breaking the strings in, it stays in tune very well. Guitar has a beautiful finish and the volume and tone adjusters on the guitar are actually metal instead of the cheaper plastics used on other more popular guitars. The whammy works really well on this guitar and is consistent with it's tuning after using the whammy. The amp chord is on the thinner side, so that is something to be careful with, but as long as it is well managed it shouldn't be a problem at all. The strap it came with is also really comfortable. It is not 100% the best guitar and amp, but i would say for beginners and even intermediates this is a great guitar. The gig bag is also pretty good, it fits perfectly, but is not very padded. Did not st started calling the company immediately this was two days two or three days before Christmas. They were out of the office we tried after Christmas. They were out of the office. We tried after New Year's for about three days. Finally when they answered they said they couldn't do anything about it. Horrible horrible horrible company would never buy this item. More so it was probably an easy fix on their part but their customer service would get a zero out of five stars for me I mean might not have been the most expensive item but for $170 it should've at least worked once nothing from the minute it came out of the box I suggest not buying it because if there is a problem, you won't get any help at all Amazon is replacing it. I ordered a different one from another company and hoping that that will work for him. He was so excited to get it that I gave it to him before Christmas now he's had to wait all this time. This is a nice guitar. Comes with everything I need. I grew up listening music my best friends brother listen to, so think to '73-'74, we snuck into my first concert. REO Reo speed wagon opening for ZZ tops. Well, my second childhood and this time I'm gonna be a Rock Star!!! Anyway, this is a pretty Quality guitar and amp. It took me of guard because I was thinking of all the Pyle amps I've seen over the years. Buy this one isn't 1 1/2 feet tall and heavy. This is maybe 8" weighs maybe one pound, puts out good. If you wanna learn to play, have a kid that wants to, best encouragement to inspire. My parents were poor, this price less then most of the computer games nowadays. ... show more
