I like it more than I thought I would. Description said the amp was battery powered but mine plugs into the wall. Nice! Sounds pretty good after tuning and adjusting things. I'm a very early stage beginner and this was a really good purchase for me. If I stick with it and get better I might buy something a little more pricey.. but I think this unit can hold me over until I become intermediate! I took off one star because the tremolo/whammy bar doesn't seem to do anything. Don't know if I don't know how to use it or it's just by design. ... show more

This guitar was a perfect gift for my 14 1/2 yr old grandson for Xmas. The smile never left his face all day as he carried it around for the rest of the day and into the evening. My daughter-in-law told me 2 days later that he learned 2 songs already and it hasn't left his side. I am so glad that gift was a huge hit. It came with an amp, a vinyl case, picks and extra cords in case one breaks. the price was great for what you got. the guitar was a pretty blue on the body of the guitar. I've had this guitar for almost a year before it made some weird noises. Took it to a nearby shop to get it checked, said the neck was warped. 65 dollars in the drain. Plays good, sounds and looks cool, feels cool but in the end, it doesn't have much life to go before it's gonna have to be replaced.
