    • Wow, this is really good!
This soundbar exceeded my expectations, especially for the price. It has really good sound staging, clarity and I can feel a little bit of surround sound effects coming from it. It fills up a medium sized living room really well. And the built-in subwoofer....wow! Its impressive that so much bass can come from this unit. Sometimes it sounds like a separate sub. If you're looking for a soundbar in this price range and don't want a sub, this is the one! And the HDMI ARC works well. My Sony 4k powers it on and off and I can control the volume with the TV remote. Buy it! ... show more

    • Just what I was looking for
I wanted to upgrade the sound for my bedroom TV and decided on this setup, after reading and watching reviews for three units I was considering. I've had an old Yamaha 2.1 setup attached to several different computers over the years, and am still impressed with the sound quality, so prior experience with Yamaha factors in. It came in an L-shaped box which was an interesting puzzle to open without cutting to pieces, but the components were well-protected by the packaging. The sub was larger than I expected, but that's no problem. Now to the point: once set up, the sub and soundbar were already acquainted via Bluetooth, no pairing needed. The sound blew me away! The bass has a rich presence that exceeded my expectations by far, and features work as advertised. I was especially impressed with music reproduction. I often listen to music channels through my TV provider, or play tunes and podcasts via Bluetooth from my phone, and I am very happy with the fidelity and the power this system has. It's no ground-shaking home theater setup, but for a 9x12 bedroom it's fabulous. It would be handy if the onboard Bluetooth could be used to connect to earbuds or headphones for certain situations, but it does not have that capability. I also note that when connected via optical cable, the satellite remote no longer controls TV volume or mute. The Yamaha remote is needed for those. All in all: I'm thinking about buying another for the kitchen TV. Very impressed. Cheers ... show more

This was a premium upgrade to a cheaper soundbar I picked up during pandemic work from home. That got me by just fine, but was low quality. This gives an exceptional experience for gaming and watching movies, but also has a clear voice feature to help with video meetings. I’m using the optical cable for sound and have the subwoofer in a convenient location since it’s wireless. It was an easy setup with no need for additional configuration after connection. Not only is the speaker itself sleek, but the I appreciated the remote’s design and functionality a lot. I don’t really need it often but it made picking the right levels easier. It even has an option to turn off the LED lights if you want. My home office is 11’x10’ and this more than fills the space with quality sound. ... show more

    • Big Bang For The Buck
I am very happy with this purchase. My space is limited so I didn't want a big huge bar. The compact size is perfect. The quality of sound is impressive. It has a built in subwoofer so there's no need trying to make space for another awkward box. I grew up on tube amps and vinyl and of course this doesn't really compare. They are completely different beasts, but to be perfectly honest, when I crank it up listening to jazz, classical, hip hop, r & b, old soul, blues, Sinatra, loud rock n roll, whatever, it fills the room and sounds great. It doesn't sound like compressed mush like some smart speakers, especially of a budget variety. One can hear the individual instruments as well as the studio atmosphere. It's not super customizable. You can turn up the bass or volume, no real treble control, but it doesn't bother me and I'm fairly picky about sound. Movies sound great. No need for subtitles with this thing. Also I haven't experienced the commonly ridiculous audio disparity. I hate turning up the volume to hear dialogue and then there's a deafening sound effect or orchestral swell. This thing is pretty even while still packing a punch. Big bang for the buck. If you're looking for an inexpensive sound bar with kick and quality, this is it. ... show more

I don’t usually write a review but the sound bar is great and I’m comparing it with. I have a Yamaha receiver and floor speakers and this sounds as just about the same. Sound is OK. Was expecting a little better. Remote is useless unless your hovering over speaker. Bluetooth connection is nice so that you don't have to run more wires to TV.
