Bought this for my son who is now a decent player, as I was a player too in my young age days I always thought Bach 3C was the way to go. My son wanted to try this as his friend was using and it's basically a same spec and much cheaper than Bach and seems he likes this Yamaha more than the 3C I got for him. My son loves this mouthpiece! He is 14 and has played for 3 years in school and privately. He has done honors clinics at the university as well. He plays a Bb Trumpet Yamaha 5335Gii and likes this mouthpiece better than the 14B4 that came with the trumpet. I believe this one is a little more narrow?
