  • Tried & true mpc!
Size: 17.00mm Cup Dia. Style: Modern
The Bach trumpet mouthpieces have been the standard for many years (75 or so). I grew up playing a Bach 7C and later, when I was a sophomore in high school, I moved to the Bach 3C — a bigger inner diameter. (I still find that the 7C is a fine mpc, by the way. And, there are many variables to consider when choosing any Bach mpc.) I played the 3C for years. I used it when I was in college in the jazz band and when I played in the pit for musical (but not operas), and for any commercial work that came my way. By then, I had moved to a Bach 1C for orchestra and brass ensemble work. The switch back-n-forth was never a problem. But, after that, though I kept to the 1C for "classical" jobs, I switched to a Bob Reeves mpc for commericial work. I play Monette mouthpieces these days, though. (I really like them.) But, for the 3 or 4 calls I get per year to play on a C or D tpt, I found thru experiment that a Bach 1.5C is close to the Monette I play, rim wise. Plus, at $55 or so bucks, the Bach cost about one-sixth what I'd have paid for a Monette C mpc. With the savings. Bottom line: you can't go wrong with a Bach mouthpiece. It's sort of a Cadillac (or Ford Continental), while a Monette is a Lamborghini. ... show more

  • Great mouthpiece!
Size: 15.90mm Cup Dia. Style: Modern
I purchased this mouthpiece to use when I play my veteran Scout Rexcraft Regulation Bugle in G. This mouthpiece has made my playing the bugle easier. I am able to reach higher notes with better ease. I guess the depth of the 10c cup allows for less pressure needed while playing. This is good when one must play for longer periods of time. The sound produced also has a particular brilliance that allows for good contrast when playing with other regulation bugles in a bugle corps formed with that the of brass instrument. Good mouthpiece, indeed. I will, no doubt, purchase another one in the near future. ... show more

  • Bach Mouthpiece A Good Choice
Size: 17.00mm Cup Dia. Style: Modern
We purchased this mouthpiece for our middle school child. We bought him a trumpet through Amazon but the mouthpiece was smaller than what he was use to playing with. Bach is one of the better mouthpieces which is why we purchased it. When we received the mouthpiece, it was new, the perfect size, and arrived in a timely manner. We are very pleased with our decision to purchase the Bach mouthpiece through Amazon. In addition, this mouthpiece size was not available in the music stores in our area and would have cost a little more and took more time to have them order it. ... show more

  • Great mouthpiece.
Size: 15.90mm Cup Dia. Style: Modern
This mouthpiece is perfect for my 9-year-old who is just starting out on the trumpet. It's a nice product at a reasonable price. It was so convenient and easy to order from Amazon, too; it cut out the hassle and extra money of picking it up from the local music store.

  • Great sound!
Size: 17.00mm Cup Dia. Style: Modern
I purchased this on recommendation of my son's trumpet tutor. My son is 16 and has been playing the trumpet since he was in the 6th grade. Even I can tell the difference when he plays with this mouthpiece. He says it is an adjustment to get used to playing vs a 3c, however, his tutor says to stay with it to improve his performance at all state auditions, etc. We will know this weekend as he will be trying out for all state band. ... show more
