I purchased this mouthpiece to use when I play my veteran Scout Rexcraft Regulation Bugle in G. This mouthpiece has made my playing the bugle easier. I am able to reach higher notes with better ease. I guess the depth of the 10c cup allows for less pressure needed while playing. This is good when one must play for longer periods of time. The sound produced also has a particular brilliance that allows for good contrast when playing with other regulation bugles in a bugle corps formed with that the of brass instrument. This mouthpiece is perfect for my 9-year-old who is just starting out on the trumpet. It's a nice product at a reasonable price. It was so convenient and easy to order from Amazon, too; it cut out the hassle and extra money of picking it up from the local music store.
