Overall the lock is not bad so far just only installed it a week back. Easy to install, easy to program. What I don’t like is when you leave and lock it without the key the locking process is long like what it is doing when it learning the dexterity. Other than that it works great.

    • Z-wave module impossible to set up
The lock itself is great, but I could never make the Z-wave module work and connect with my wifi network. After multiple attempts and phone calls with Yale support, it turned out that the Z-wave module was deficient (the option #7 on the lock screen to reach the network module setting was not available) and my only option was to return it, as per Yale customer support ... but this was too late for me (beyond the return window allowed by Amazon), as this was for a house where I don't go every week. I'll have to buy a new module directly from Yale (I'll take their proprietary Yale smart module (RAYR-MOD-WF1-USA), which has more capabilities than the Z-wave module). ... show more

...the app to walk me through the installation process was insane! I really don't want to spoil it in this review, just buy it and try it. It's breathtaking! The lock is great. Love the keypad feature--didn't think I would. Very simple install. Only complaint is that I do not like the voice feedback. Oh and I believe the version with 700 series zwave is about to drop. Incredibly happy that it'll just be a $50 module upgrade! ... show more

    • Better at being smart than being a lock
I really did want to like this lock and gave it months of use to try and find an alternative to Schlage based on the supply shortage and availability. However the only thing east about Yale was the install and integration. Everything else about this lock was a nightmare. From ring not knowing if it was open or closed, to it being jammed and not reporting any issues with the mechanism. Once I saw the Schlage was back in stock I pulled the trigger to replace the Yale with a real smart lock. Do yourself a favor, if you are looking to truly use this for your home and want the assurance that it’s closed - do not use this lock. ... show more

This is my second one. Changed out the door and the silver one wasn't looking too great. Wanted a darker color so went with the black. Works great. Love the option of the key.

    • Nice looking lock; too many issues for the price
Install and Alexa integration issues First issue is the cut out for the lock didn’t match the template so I needed to redrill out the door. Not a huge issue but definitely unexpected. Second; I couldn’t reuse my existing key which is manageable but annoying. But lastly the Smart things and Alexa integration didn’t work at all. Upsides is this lock does look very nice and the lock unlock is smooth ... show more
